comparison-ur opinion???

You can't really compare the two of them. However,on the other hand i feel that Nusrat fateh Ali Khan has definately sung the song well than karunya.He was a singer of great calibre. Karunya's version was excellent.I enjoyed his singing and performance thoroughly!

O please...stop comparing them to the originals...I remember a poll sometime ago which was comparing the performance of contestants for tadap tadap ke on music shows..and some contestant was getting a better rating than KK the original singer...I was so cheesed off then...

in my opinion nusrat fateh ali khan's afreen was much better than karunya's. how can they be compared?

as i wrote last night karunya have given much better performances than mahayudh gala.

Karunyas version was good as he sung this song in his own voice and with his own style....which is far better than sounding like a copycat ....so u can t really compare the two... except commend karu for even attempting to take on a song by such an iconic singer and yet karu made the song his own!

omg...nusrat fateh ali khan? i agree karunya is an outstanding singer...but comparing him with nusrat fateh ali khan is going too far!!!

I dunno who compared him to the late Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan coz even the judges and Javed Saab only talked about Karu's rendition and concentrated more on his performance than comparing him to the Ustad. Javed Saab said that it brought back memories and nothing more than that! Firstly I don't think Karu is being overpromoted....he's just getting his due. And secondly why would it be a SHAME to compare him to the Ustad. I mean I agree that he was an exceptional singer but so was Rafi and Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey even. And it's inevitable that people are going to compare the contestant's rendition to the original singer....but that doesn't mean that they are degrading the original singer in any way...it's only coz that is the only reference point that people have. I agree that Karunya has many many miles to go before he reaches the calibre of any of these great men but like Javed Saab said it's unfair to expect Karu to sing at their calibre so early in his career but if he does a fair job of rendering one of their songs then please don't deny him of the deserving praise! Anyways I truly believe that Karu is one of the most talented persons seen on reality television in the recent times and if you believe the same then vote for him....if not then don't coz either ways he still is a winner! 😃

agree wit u!...its ok when they are comparing...problem starts when they say that the newcomer is better than the original...i remember the fights on SGMP forum when some of vinit's fans started saying things like he is Md. Rafi reborn and he's better than Sonu...uffff!
