Before I go any further with this let me make a statement: before it used to matter to me when people criticized my favorites, now it doesn't matter. I've learned to "grow up."
So let's journey inside a celebrity's world.
Karisma, Madhuri, Juhi, Shahrukh, Salman, Saif, Hrithik, Aamir, Rani, Kajol, Amisha, Amit ji, Jaya ji, Abhishek, Aishwarya, Priyanka, Katrina, Kareena, Shahid, Vidya, Bobby, Sunny, Dharam ji, Hema ji,Yash ji, Karan, Lara, Sonakshi, Anushkar, Ranveer, Ranbir, Irman, Sonam, Deepika, Akshay, Preity, Govina, Jeetendra, Madhubala, Dilip Kumar ji, Randhir Kapoor ji, Rishi Kapoor ji, Neetu Singh ji, Anupam Kher ji, Kiron Kher ji, Dev Anand ji, Arbaz, Sohail, Malaika, Mallika, Emran, Ajay, Farah Khan....The list is endless...
But all the ones mentioned above and a ton more have faced criticism at one point in their career lives, But they all have put themselves into a world of fame, criticism, fans, critics, mockery, and ridicule. They all know what's in store for them coming into the film industry. The media will do their job. And I think most stars take it all in very well. They know what they have got themselves into. They know that they brought themselves into this world. No one forced them. They chose this world.
But the fans are a whole different story. They fail to realize the inside of a "celebrity's world." I was a guilty culprit too. I used to have problems with anyone that criticized Rani and/or Shahrukh. I would defend them left and right.
But now that I come to look at it. Why do we have fan wars? Why are we so affected if our favorite celebrity is criticized and/or bashed. Only they themselves got into this life. And most of us do not know these celebs personally. Some of us have only have encounters with them one or two times. But does that give us the right to judge them?
The media has to do their job. Sometimes they will praise, sometimes they will criticize. But why do we have to start fan wars? Its not like no one gets bashed. They all do. And sometimes its for the smallest things ever. But we have to deal with it. If they can, why can't we? Of course we are free to express our opinions. Everyone has a freedom of speech. But why do we have to get so blinded with our fav celebs and then go to such extremes to make the celeb look like he/she is a 'saint?' I know I used to do that before, but I got myself to think. None of them know me. (Except Shahrukh, but that's another story)! 😆 But yeah none of them know me. I have my favorites. Everyone else has theirs. And no two people will agree. Opinions will differ. The bottom line is we should always keep loving and supporting our favorites no matter what the circumstance. But seriously what will fan wars do for us? Nothing...
And I know I just wasted my time posting this because fan wars will continue. After all we do need some drama on the forums! *Sigh*
My only point is just realize that these celebs know what they got themselves into. And if they can react to it well, then we as fans should be able to as well. That's all. I'll stop with my rant.
