My take on why the outburst and whether its justified. Justification is accepted as far as Maans understanding of the situation is concerned. He is from Mars. Geet is from Veenus. Raw attitudinal differences in the way Maan is versus the way Geet is. He is zilch in understanding the sensitivity and emotional highs and lows of a pregnant woman. Which in Geets case is high-stress. We have to take into consideration that its Dadima who educated Maan on the taste bud variations in pregnant women and so gave her green mangoes and salt to eat. Don't we all make our first mistakes with our first borns and learn from the mistakes while raising the 2nds or 3rds.

Maans emotions are torn between loving Geet and his brain caluclatively dangling 'tween mother or baby'. Can he ever give Geet up for the baby he only loves 'cause of his Geet. Torn asunder, beat on the waves that lap on to the shores and dash against the reefs, caught up in the tornado of life's insignificances as against the most significant love in his life, he definitely is bleeding and weeping inside of him. Through all this, the cloud of doom spelt - 'a few days to decide', he has to helplessly watch the gentle sway of his wifes rhythmic moves in and out of his life and home.

Now the part where his outburst fetched a prize so precious - the pearls, her tears.

He has provided all assurances of having to trust in him and have faith in him. This outburst of having given her everything is just a recollection of his PROVISION for her symbolically stating the abundance of the treasure house of prosperity that he is sharing with her just because he loves her and has faith in the way she taught him to love and smile on all things. He had everything outwardly and materially but was devoid of anything internally and spiritually living. Geet provided all this spiritual wealth and in turn he gave her all the physical wealth. Just a balance of everything perfect. This balance is tipping because Geet seemed to oppose her own understanding of his provision, his love, his reassuring trust. So his outburst rather underlining a bitter sarcasm. But he only meant that he has thankfully favored her with the khandan name, and physical wealth as a gracious giving back of everything Geet has brought into his life. He was not counting the quantity of what he gave but the quality of what he gave humbly quid pro quo.

The only way he knew to deal with this situation was anger, the management of which he has to learn from Geet and nature.

Nice way to analyze....He had everything before Geet in his life....But Geet provided him spiritual happiness which brought back...smile on his face back.........I can see your point now....probaly that last dialogue was more meant as sarcasm..........which was quite blunt in a way
