Why is fame so damn fickle in Bollywood?

😛 This topic might be one of my most unconventional ever, but I hope you are up for a good discussion as always.

Fame in Bollywood as we have seen is temporary. It is fickle. So many stars have endured it, whether it is Rani Mukherjee, Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hritik Roshan, or even Akshay Kumar. When you give hits and win awards, your fame skyrockets through the roof. However, one flop can erase your good fortunes and you are in the gutter. Suddenly, everyone forgets about you. Why does that have to be the case? As a result, fame can be so damn fickle in Bollywood.

But, does fame change your opinion about a certain star you love or admire? Just because they give a flop, doesn't mean they are unappealing anymore. Everyone goes through a good and bad phase.

So, please share your opinions and it will be very interesting to see what everyone has to say!!!!

Aki and srk and all the other stars have been around for a decade, I think they hold onto their fame and will keep raising to the top. If they have a flop one day, the next day they'll be a hit.

But with my favorites, I'm so bias that I loved them even more when they have flop movies. SRK in swades didn't do well but it's my favorite movie of him. Deepika in KHJJS didn't do well but it's my favorite performance of hers and also in LP which didn't do well

But it's sad though how the people and the industry treat different when they have a flop and then a hit. Deepika talked about in her old interview. She said when oso became a huge success, people wanted to be her friends and wanted to be around her. But after CCTC became a failure, those same people walked out on her and she realized who her true friends are

So I respect them when they go through failure because they'll appreciate success when it hits them.

I think that's why srk is humble and down to earth because he went through struggle to get this success

I think with good performances, your fame can get only stronger despite films not being hits. Guzaarish is also another good example, had stellar acting and the main leads were appreciated for their work. Akshay and SRK have survived and their longevity is simply undeniable. 😊

oh yeah love aki and srk but hopefully aki stops doing comedy movies a lot so he won't be type cast

Tees Maar Khan was horrible! 😆 His fame will not be affected either way though!

Ok here's the thing. I don't think there is any actor/actress in the world that has given a hit with every single movie of theirs. To keep it simple, I don't think you're a true fan if you base your liking on a star based on their hits and flops. Not every movie will be a hit. I think flops should encourage an actor/actress to do better. Flops should already be taken in a positive aspect rather than a negative one.

cutiepie rani....Preity had started with her career with back to back hits so I think it's possible that starts have hit movies through out their career. I think even Emraan hashim has all his movies hits

But Preity hasn't maintaied that! My point made was nit any actor/actress will have ALL hits!

Rani Mukherjee has made a comeback with No One Killed Jessica! A successful film can change your fortunes. This is the most perfect example of fame being fickle. She was so successful all those years and then she was down for a while, came back up. Everyone goes through this and I strongly agree with your thoughts. 😊

Emraan Hashmi has had a lot of dissapointments, but his status remains unaffected! 😉
