From the conversation between the Principal Saxena, THE Mayank Sharma, and Samrat, we come to know that our hero is the academic champion, the debate champion of Excel College. He is not the typical charming lover boy, but YET, there is some undeniable charm in his wit, humor and sarcasm.
Mayank is very sportive towards his constant friendly rivalry with Samrat. He is not in it to show himself better than others. In fact, we come to know that he is his OWN competition. To him it's Let the best man win!
Nupur and Gunjan are eagerly waiting for their train to Mumbai. While Gunjan openly shows her nervousness and anxiety on a new life, Nupur hides it behind her cheerful disposition. She hides her secret fears behind a happy smile and tries to soothe her sister's nerves. Aah, indeed she is a wonderful sister. :)
Her innocence and attitude towards life is reflected in the taxi ride from the airport to her cousin's house. She is enthralled and awed by the magnificent city of Mumbai and makes it a point to give a positive reference to the entire thing. In her words it is a madhumakhiyon ka chata. She loves the feel of the busy city, to her it reflects life.
Her father describes her feelings perfectly "khush aur hairan". She is amazed, yet happy and excited about her new life. She is respectful towards elders and immediately is liked by her uncle. She feels kind of awkward while meeting Dia and Uday, her cousins, who are totally different from her. They invite her for a party which they threw on the sister's arrival.
While Dia and Uday discuss their Morena cousins, making fun of them and planning to humiliate them in the party, a certain someone is overhearing them. And guess who it was? Wait for it...he is none other than our very own Mayank Sharma.
His dialogues are worth hearing...man man man...."pichle aadhe ghante se tum loge apne plans itne baar discuss kar chukhe ho ki mujhe exactly patah hain ki, kab kaun kya kar rahe hain". And when Samrat compliments his intellect, he very smugly says "hamesha ki tarah". He teases Uday saying his forgetfullness must be because of the company (Dia) with whom he always is. đ He also tells of Dia saying "tumhara party...kuch logon ka dimaag waakahi chota hota hain...no problems, you guys carry on...patah hain na, kuch logon ka dimaag late develop hota hain", leaving a furious Dia behind. đ¤Ł. And the amazing smile he gives, makes it all the more AMAZING.
Both Nupur and Gunjan are taunted badly in the party, much to their discontent. Gunjan accidentally hurts a friend of Dia's, only to receive an angry glare from Samrat. Nupur holds her sister's hand firmly and says they don't have to pay heed to such people. Well said Nupur Bhushan! đ
So here we go. The second episode of MJHT. Tomorrow we will get to see the party fun! đ
I can't wait for the Mayank & Nupur aka MayUr meet. đł
