Avdesh:
Tonight we saw Avdesh totally out of control, rage blinding him to everything. All he wanted was the whereabouts of the man he holds responsible for killing his father and brother. He was deaf and blind to the pain, sadness and horror of his loved one...Arpita and the gang. (Saali saheb took one look and did a runner!š)
We also saw a moment, when Arpita approached Avdesh. I have to say it was a surprise, though very pleasant. I did not think she would be speaking up so soon - but it makes sense. This is the girl who threw caution to the wind and walked out of her wedding mandaap with a man she knew nothing about in practical terms. It takes a lot of guts to do that and she has quite a lot.šš
There was a lot of debate as to whether she had done the right thing coming to talk to him when he was so enraged. I too wondered. After seeing the episode, I think it was a brillant scene. It is a classic approach used by hostile negotiatiors - to approach and engage the opponent, to make them respond to something personal to them, to make them care or at least sow the seed of care...
Avdesh is acting on his anger now...he does not need to worry about Arpita because she is with him now, he knows where she is....she is his and no one can take her...so he is secure and merrily goes about his plan to beat/maim/kill people....suddenly, she forcefully enters that area of his life, perhaps an area he had no wish to see her in - to keep her away from all the violence...and he reacts accordingly!...He as the man, reminds her of her vows and her promise to abide by him....the only thing he can fall back on.....the struggle within him increases.... Avdesh or Bhaiyya ji..??
Arpita:
Arpita comes into her husband's room and looks at him with sadness and determination, but no fear. He looks back, slight shock and anger on his face. She slowly approaches him and searches his face lovingly, her face pale and drawn. She tells him that she cannot bear to watch him kill people,she promised to stand by him and not a murderer, that how can she wear the sindoor of a man who kills? That she loves him very much and so on.
Her words ignite white hot anger in Avdesh; at first. He retailates by saying if it takes for him to kill 100 people he will do so to find the murderer of his father and brother....that anger soon turnes to panic, anguish and incinerating rage as he listened to her....he choked out so you have no trust/faith...what about your promise to be by my side? what about it, Arpita?!..he yells as fury and panic ate at him.
Arpita has achieved her aim. She bought him back from the brink - for the moment. She reminded him that she was there, she trusted him, left everything for him...that she loved him. And most importantly he responded to the unsaid words....the panic and fear shows that if he doesn't have her in his life than he has nothing.
Avdesh went storming outside, her words and images of the past flashing by one by one in his mind's eye...also recalling bhouji's words...but mainly it was all Arpita. She had touched him, struck a raw nerve.....and he was furious.....he wanted to compartmentalise his life - Bhaiyyaji and Avdesh kept separate but by his very own actions they have merged....now it already looks like his wife cannot bear him, maybe she will leave and take her love withe her....He screams out the name of the man, Lal Singh, once more affecting his life....He orders his gang to get some news for he wants him found within 48 hours. To end it so he can get on with his life.
Bhouji:
Bhootni took advantage of Arpit's newly wedded status and took some food to feed Avdesh. She is so deluded, she thinks he is eating because he loves her. The truth of the matter is Avdesh looks on her as a mother - she has a mother's influence over him. He ate because his surrogate mother was feeding him.....she struck a nerve when she said 'eat for your wife'...that should have been a clue but as usual she took it the wrong way.....when you love someone, even their name causes extreme reaction...so Avdesh, already fulminating was angry at once again reminded about Arpita and her 'lack of trust' and her words no doubt - but he ate anyway....
As for the jealousy factor....Bhootni has to be very careful, Avdesh is blind to her games for the moment, but tonight Arpita's eyes were opened to who hold's his strings and makes him the puppet....Arpita won't become jealous over this...more will be needed...but I believe in the Avita love, it goes beyond these emotions...
I believe it will be a tussle between bhootni and Arpita with Avdesh completely clueless...
My thoughts:
it was an interesting episode, a lot of progress has been made. Avita communicated the most important thing to them. Their love and trust in each other. Both came from different ends...she tells him if he kills then he isn't the man she married or loves (a warning of sort) and he is enraged that she could so easily take away her love and trust, that she could so easily talk about leaving him when she should be standing in full support of him and his actions () be his one and only cheerleaderšš....so all in all, it was a success....especially as we saw her words haunted Avi, had made an impact on his bhaiyyaji mentality - because the only person so far able to get through to him when he is in that mentality is bhouji...clever girl!!š
As for Bhootni....feel sad for her...she can't decided whether she wants a child or a lover. So I propose to her, she should adopt about 10 children from the local villages (I'm sure there are a lot of orphans, courtsey of her)...the constant care, feeding, changing nappies and etc should keep her very busy, enough to have no enegery to interfere in Avita.....š¤¢š¤¢šš
But I think slowly, the jealousy track will be coming in combined with the Avdesh power play....after today, I am pretty sure we will see some romance between Avita soon....I hope CVs keep Arpita as strong and fearless as she is now...I adored how she approached Avdesh...any other girl would be crying and having FB of the beating and so on.....the only FB here is of their love and promises, the yearning of dreams unfulfilled....that I love very much because it is one of the core premise of this unusual love story.
