"I never cared about the box-office standing, so I'm unlikely to fall prey to the TRP system either." What he is affected by, though, is the adulation of his fans. "Yes, that's what really matters a great deal to me. I'm addicted to their love," he says, revealing that it is this love that he draws his strength from.
And what about his other 'love life'? "I have many love lives — with family, friends, fans… which one are you referring to," he smiles, clearly indicating that talking about his relationship with girlfriend Katrina Kaif is off limits as always. But he surprises us by adding, "If you are asking if I'm in a relationship, then I'd have to say that it's best to ask when both people involved in that relationship are ready to speak about it." Point noted.
But does he consider himself lucky in love? "I have no reason not to," he quips. But then why is marriage still eluding the sexiest 40-year-old bachelor of Bollywood? "I can't understand why people are so keen on me getting married. I don't think they can stand a single man's happiness," he jokes with a straight face.
He is however quick to add, "There is a lot that goes into that institution. I will getinto it when I'm ready for it completely and that will happen at some point, but not now. I believe that it is sacred and should be treated so."What avatar does he like the most to play — action hero or the romantic one? "An action hero who can romance well!" he sums it up.
