Well I think it depends upon the couple.If you are comfortable with each other than why not?
Geet has,as you said, no reason to believe in this institution and marriage would not mean anything if the said couple is not comfortable or well known to each other.
Moreover who is to say that marriage is the answer.Rape,cheat,dowry,honour killing....the list goes on and on.So why not be in a live in where one can walk out without the legal hassles that bind a marriage.It all depends upon the society.But what is wrong with staying with someone you love?You will get to know them better.....
And of cource if Geet lives in with MK I'd be totally cool( read jealous) with that :D
Personally I think dating would be better but to each his own
