'You who lack BASIC DECENCY': Sourabh Raaj Jain indirectly SLAMS Shilpa Shinde for comments on Shubhangi Atre

Shilpa Shinde is all set to return to the popular sitcom Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, reprising her iconic role of Angoori Bhabhi after more than a decade. The actress, who originally played the character when the show first began, had exited the series amid controversy years ago. Following her departure, Shubhangi Atre stepped in and went on to portray Angoori Bhabhi for nearly ten years, earning widespread appreciation and a strong fan base. Shilpa’s comeback has generated considerable buzz, marking a full circle moment for the long running show.

However, the excitement around her return soon turned into controversy after Shilpa made remarks about Shubhangi Atre during a recent interview. When asked about Shubhangi, Shilpa commented that “comedy is not for everyone.” She went on to say, 'Sahi kaha hai. Sahi pakde hain, use pata hai.' (She’s right. She has understood it well, she knows it). Elaborating further, Shilpa added, 'Dekhiye as an actor, maine us waqt bhi bola tha jab controversy chal rahi thi, very frankly, usne kaam kiya hai achha. Achhi actress hai but comedy sabke bas ki baat nahi hai. Aur uske baad kisiko copy karna, wo bohot mushkil hai, bohot pressure hota hai.' She also stated that imitation is never easy, regardless of an actor’s capability, saying, 'Dekho aaj main kitna bhi sochu kisi actress ko copy karna, toh wo copy ho jaati hai. Chahe main kitni bhi achhi acting karu.'

These remarks did not go unnoticed, and actor Sourabh Raaj Jain reacted strongly, indirectly calling out Shilpa for her comments. Without naming her, Sourabh shared a pointed message that read, 'Replaced actor entertained audience for around 10years, being loved throughout, and for whatever reasons when the first actor again steps into the same character which she let go for whatever reasons 10 years back, tells media.... the replaced actor isn't as big as her and lacks comic timing, no Ma'm it's YOU who lack basic decency....
