Great post @sinistera. And you were complaining of not being eloquent?... well i am gonna have to think about this one...

About her relationship with Radhae.. you nailed it there. Her "indian" attitude to marriage defined her love to Radhae. She was married to him, hence she had to love him….that was what was expected and that was what she did. But what is appreciable here is that, normally, no one is that determined to love their husband. She was determined and she achieved it. So it was her determination that chose the path of her love. To top that DV did not help in the least by trying to push her over the edge again and again…

She may have known that Radhae was an insipid being on his best day and it was her through Radhae who was actually fighting DV. If you really look at it, DV's relationship with Amoli forged Amoli's relationship with Radhae. Changes to Radhae's character was wrought by Amoli fiercely defending "her version" of love and his duties.

Changes in Amoli herself, her self confidence, her arrogance, were wrought also by her relationship with DV and her passion for him…be it hatred or love. Surein one time tells her that her demeanor is nothing like a farmers daughters. Mathrua mentions many times about Amoli's "Thevar" . The relationship between DV and her sculpted the rough carbon stone into the takhurain Amoli. And yes, this contributed to her Ego.

But was she determined to be better than him? Was that her motivation? Well…..I don't think so…. It was more the push factor. DV pressured her, pushed her, tried to get her to go against her beliefs…that is where the struggle started and ended. She fought as far as the fight was justifiable. But the moment it was not, she dropped her weapon. It takes a lot of hatred to kill someone in cold blood… and had she persisted in torturing DV, that would have been the situation.

What would I have personally want changed?

Radhae becoming the villan… was just unpalatable…had they not done that, it would have been good to see Amoli accepting DV completely because she was in love with him and because he is her right match. It would have been interesting to watch the struggle of what is acceptable by "societal terms" against what is acceptable in reality. If left to me, I would have let Amoli realize her love for DV… then bring Radhae back where she is faced with what she considered against "what is"….DV's struggle to deal with this…cause it is humanely difficult to give up tha t kind of passion

Also, while DV has toned down for Amoli, he has not yet had an opportunity to use his power for changing things around him…so Radhae is back, Amoli is confused…and DV struggles to keep to the straight and narrow. Cause he not only has to fight the inner demon in him, he also has to make Amoli see the truth of their love while strugling to keep to the straight and narrow.
