The reason was because Bimal (tani's dad) was having cancer and was gona die.. so he and his friend (Anu's dad) decided to marry Tani with Anu so that her future will be bright...

but later on Anu's dad kept thinking that he made mistake by marrying them, that was because as usual alot of misunderstanding created by Ritesh.. one day anu's dad was saying that he made mistake by marrying them and Bimal (tani's dad) heard it and he got very tense and died.. after that day Laboni (Tani's mom) started hating Anu's dad and so fighting started..

Anu's dad sent Anu to America and was there for 8yrs so when he come back he hates his father.. and have become very cold blooded :) he is not very emotional.. and maybe thats the reason that he dont accept the marriage and never want to remember it..

or maybe he have a GF in America..
