Thou shalt experiment with the hair. Crimp and curl, scrunch and straight, braid (French and every other kind) and bouffant, sleek side-swept low pony or sexy pile-up, wavy or voluminous. Thou shalt buy many hair accessories like Greek goddess-esque metallic hairbands, sequinned bows, rosettes, cute clips, various hairbands, flowery rubberbands and other haute hairpieces. Thou shalt seriously experiment with the hair.

Thou shalt think about the make-up. Thou shalt not step outside without blush. It's beautiful. Thou shalt learn how to open up the eyes with a single stroke of white eye pencil. Thou shalt be brave to sport bright lips. Thou shalt have strong brows. Thou shalt master the art of sexy smoky eyes that thou shalt play up with a pout.

Thou shalt make PPF investments in the current financial year. It will be Pretty. And Powerful. And Fabulous. It will be a classic bag. Chanel quilted, Salvatore Ferragamo or Lady Dior. Thou shalt also invest in Louis Vuitton luggage for thou to carry while camping, rafting and trekking.

Thou shalt work the waist. In a nipped-in skirt, peplum-detail fitted dress, high-waisted trousers, 1950s-style silhouettes, New Look-inspired dresses and corset tops. Thou shalt buy belts. A leopard belt to wear with white ruffled blouse and shorts, a slim tan belt to give shape to a printed kaftan dress, bright wide belt to brighten up neutral creams…

Thou shalt embrace black nail paint. It does NOT have to look gothic. Or evil. It can look pretty-pretty.

Thou shalt romp about in robes, at home of course. Fluffy towel robes, black satiny robes, feminine flowery print robes. And thou shalt buy smooth satin somethings to wear under the robes.

Thou shalt be glamorous when gardening. Aisha wears chiffon and lace while slogging in the soil. She also bakes in macrame-esque sundresses. And cooks a full meal in all-white mul.

Thou shalt wear pearls. For that old-world glamorous vintage touch. Pearl studs to yoga class. Same studs for polo match. And statement pearl necklaces with sexy dresses during drinks about town.

Thou shalt hail the hat. Fedora hats, berets, jockey hats… Thou shalt hit people when they laugh at us. Or our hats.

Thou shalt pray for an older sister like Aaliya didi. Who has a husband like Karan Burman, who has a younger brother like Arjun Burman. In short, thou shalt pray for an Abhay Deol. So thou shalt dance happily ever after in white and gold saris to Gal meethi meethi bol...👏👏😆 *Praying for an Abhay Deol* 😭😆

Aisha opens with a fashion feast. The colour story is lilac and white. Sonam Kapoor lights up the scene in an Anamika Khanna lehnga. Her itsy bitsy choli, her casually draped dupatta… The designer (in picture) has created some drool-worthy designs in Aisha, every piece better than the previous. Our top 5:

1. The opening wedding sequence clothes. Every one is wearing shades of silver and white accentuated with shades of lilac and mauve. We love Aisha and Pinky's lehngas, Chitra masi's sari and Aaliya didi's suit.

2. Sonam's silver textured sheath paired with a blue bag and black cage heels.

3. Shefali's tomato kurta with zardosi bootis.

4. The Diwali sequence. Aisha's net panelled sari with choudani border (see cover picture). Also Aarti's indigo blue and black net sari dotted with black sequins.

5. The closing wedding scene. The gang of girls all wear Kerala mundus (white saris with gold borders) touched with a dash of red, either in the form of bootis, borders or blouses.

Perky Pinky

The ultimate Pinky Bose moment came during the rafting trip when she emerged in a hot pink playsuit, Fish Fry for Reebok boots and Marc Jacobs beach bag. It was also when Randhir Gambhir told her that she resembles a "guldasta" and that she cuts her clothes out of a circus tent! What does Gambhir know! We love her quirky fashion quotient. She does full fashion justice to Manish Arora. And we love her yummy little strawberry bag too!
