Should Ranbir Kapoor star in Kaminey 2?

Often sequels result in a change of stars even if the main order remains undisturbed. It adds a new zing to the franchise while retaining its original feel.

And so while it's confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham will feature in Dostana 2, Priyanka Chopra bids adieu to make way for, reportedly, Kareena Kapoor or Katrina Kaif.

Also, remember Dhoom 2, which had Hrithik Roshan stepping into the anti-hero shoes of Dhoom's John Abraham?

Here's looking at a wish-list of possible sequels and the stars we'd like to see cast in them:

Kaminey 2

Shahid Kapur and Priyanka Chopra's twins grow up to tell their own story. How about Ranbir Kapoor channeling his inglorious side this time around? It would be a welcome break from all the endearing Sids and Prems, no?

Dhoom 3

While there's no altering Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra's mandatory presence, what if Akshay Kumar joined the bandwagon as its brand new mastermind villain? He's suave, smooth, knows his stunts and has all the pre-requisites of a sexy Dhoom badboy.

Quick Gun Murugan 2

Considering his take on Murugan in Om Shanti Om evoked a good amount of laughter, it would be fun to watch Shah Rukh Khan go all out in Telugu star Rajendra Prasad's shoes in a lavish upgrade of the Quick Gun Murugan series, tossing all possible baddies in mid-air, slow-motion, of course. Mind it? Not at all.

Bhoot 2

Spirits continue to haunt the infamous multi-stored building. And though Ajay Devgan and Urmila Matondkar have cleverly packed their bags and left the complex for good, an unsuspecting young entrant, namely Katrina Kaif, is its fresh new target. Sweet ol' Katrina in a horror flick? Now that's hat-ke for sure!

Fashion 2

After Priyanka Chopra, we would love to witness Sonam Kapoor discovering the not-so-glamorous side of high-fashion.

The recently crowned best-dressed actress with her astonishing know-how on all things designer would be perfect for the part.

Andaz Apna Apna 2

Knowing Amar and Prem and their flexible moralities, they'll only be too happy to have a brand new set of Raveena and Karishma to woo.

And so Aamir and Salman Khan return to their 'Haila-Ooimaa' ways with Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor in mind. Wonder how Crimemaster Gogo will react to that?

Love Aaj Kal 2

The definition of new age relationships is hard to come by. And so another modern-day romance, across a couple of continents, unfolds through a couple trying to come terms with what they share/could share.

It would be interesting to watch the chemistry between two powerhouse actors Aamir Khan and Vidya Balan engaging in some witty and compelling When Harry Met Sally-ish banter.

Wanted 2

Salman Khan made utterly implausible sequences work in Boney Kapoor's cheesy action caper.

Which other actor can accomplish this rare feat? Sunny Deol? Too old! Hrithik Roshan? Too classy!

Tell you what, let's retain Salman and replace Ayesha Takia with Deepika Padukone. Untried combinations are seldom boring.

Partner 2

Post-Govinda, Love Guru Salman Khan finds another quirky, lovelorn client to cope with. And who better than buddy Sanjay Dutt to do the honours?

Bluffmaster 2

I like and would want to see the choices of fashion 2, Andaz Apna Apna 2, Love Aaj Kal 2 (but I would Keep Saif not Amir), Wanted 2, and Bluffmaster 2 ( I think Saif well be good in that role).

Sanjay Dutt in Partner 2? No way. I would rather see someone younger in that role maybe Ritesh D
