^^ I have come to a conclusion that there should be seperate bolly forums seperated by these following categories.. An exclusive forum for all the following types of fans.

1) Fans under the age of 2

2) Fans who think they are hubbys and wifes of celebs.

3) Fans who think that all their favs movies have the box office status of hits.. despite them being declared flops or average by various sources.

4) Fans whose only means of getting noticed is to attack others and in that process have their only conversation of the day.. and list goes on and on.😆

Hit or Flop Status is based on a simple formula

kites was made on a very high budget. if the movie is made on a high budget it is expected to rake more revenue so dat to cover up its cost - break even. kites didnt even break -even dats why even though it had 2nd bigges opening in India, it couldnt cover its initial cost. dats why trade pandits, consider it above average and some use the harsh word flop!

Exactly. These popular and top actors need to realize that their big names are not gonna help them in the box office. It can help the opening but if audience don't like the script than the movie will flop for sure same thing happened with Kambakt Ishq. Kareena and Akki star power made got the movie a very huge opening but after people realized its not a good script and its all style the movie was not a hit and declared average or above average (something like that) Same goes for Kites too and HR star power.

But I also agree some or even maybe all critics are biased. Kites is not a disaster it opened well from what i hear.

Kambhakt Ishq was trying to be so Hollywoodish! but look what happened!!

Kites was not up to the mark

everybody was expecting a fantastic storyline considering the amount of media coverage and all it was getting

most of celebs think that the audience feeds itself on 'masala movies' a bit of dancing, love scenes, do naye dialogues, kuch thora sa action, rona dhona and all would make a good movie. But No

Indian Sensibilties have changed

we like movies like 3 idiots which are wholesome entertainer yet intelligent movies, My name is khan (though not that smart take on Muslim situation in USA) but something along that line and yeah TZP was even good (awareness creating movies)

we are sick and tired of the old masala movies. now they are tooo bland for our taste!
