No takers for Hrithik-Barbara's Kites


Despite cracking the top 10 US box office, the much hyped Kites proved to be an unmitigated disaster at the box office in India [ Images ], finding no acceptance with either the masses or classes, multiplexes or single screens.

Trade analyst Vinod Mirani gives us the box office verdict.

Hrithik and Babara look hot, film is visually appealing.

well as much as i like Hrithik..i really don't think Kites will appeal to Indian masses at all..
bt they sure look damn hot in that movie!

WT* ....sure kites can eventually be/is a flop but atleast dont write it had a disastrous opening ...31 cr opening weekend is a disaster ???? How cum a similar weekeend for MNIK is termed bumper or even for housefull for that matter ......
Whats the shame in saying /accepting the truth ...this paid journalism really bugss

it is the 2nd biggest opener in the history of indian cinema!

Exactly ...my point ...and also that its the first indian flick to feature in US Box office top 10 or something .....if international success of MNIK can be highlighted ..then why not this ...an achievement is an achievement after all .......
Seriously before every flick i see this trend ...either the media is totally all out for it or against it ....why not let the people see and decide for themselves if they as journo's/critics cant be fair in their opinion
