Kites opening is Disastrous - Page 2

lots of movies come everyyear, everytime ppl claim it got historical opening in the history, it has beaten the records of 3I , highest collection in the history and blah blah blah......... A movie Can be a average, semi-hit, hit, super hit, block buster But Not every movie can be Historical hit like Sholay, HAHK, DDLJ, Gaddar and few more in the list ........this kind of claims now days r so common, looks funny now

but they are trueeee, hrithik came onscreen after 2 yrs hence it did manage to attain the 2nd biggest opening of all time after 3 idiots! times r changing hence so r the figures! and who is saying KITES is a blockbuster? it might not even be a hit!

Hrithik gave more than 2 years of his career for this movie and it turns out to be a dud.

Its a pity, Hrithik's star power got him a huge opening on day 1 but unfortunately the script and the entire movie let him and the his fans down.

Its high time the filmakers realise the audience are not fools.

he did not spend 2 yrs only 1!! he had a sever knee problem first then after whe it was made it got delayed by 4-5 months becaus of brett retnar!!

not surprised, the movie lacked a story, a soul although Hrithik did a really good job.

the collections may not be distorous, but the film surely is.

Well REDIFF did not rate Kites high, so they had to show it in as poor light as possible. Sab yahi karte hain, for example indiafm aka bollywoodhungama (Taran Adarsh). Jin movies ko Taran low rating deta hai, uska BO result hamesha underplay karke post hota hai...doesn't matter if the movie did much better...similarly agar movie ko high rating di hai to BO result bhi badhaakar karke dikhate hain.

PS. I am writing this irrespective of the BO status of Kites.

It was expected. Kites won't be hit after bad reviews from audience. Time and audience is changing. Critics can give 4 and 5 stars to amovie but eventually it's audience who spend their money and decide box office verdict.

I love Hrithik but I knew Kites wasn't something that was going to work. It just looked it....I wish I was wrong like many times before for many other movies....LOL....but it's ok.....there is Guzaarish to look forward to and I hope they use HRITHIK THE ACTOR and not HRITHIK THE HOT HUNK in that movie. And opening discussion is stupid....I just don't get the obsession over it!!

And the fans should relax.....a hit or flop won't change Hrithik's life...and after all it's just a job.....as long as he can keep working and do movies why do the fans need to worry???? So really it's ok....I hope Kites people can atleast recover all their money and don't lose much. Hit Flop yeh tou chalta rahega! Too much obsession over these things can cause harm to health.
