Who in their right mind would think of hiding Angad chasing them around town bec' she was worried her family couldn't handle it and her father was panicking? This excuse doesn't hold water for me. Didn't Adarsh say he would do anything for his sisters? It's a weak argument for her to make that she hides happenings (the chase, the sari gift, the call from Krishna to meet at the hotel) and lie to her own family, and somehow expect them to help her when they are unaware of what's going on. Her mother asked her to confide but she chose not to. Bottom line.....she bit off more than she could chew. She trusted Rolly another young girl who didn't know any better than her (who came up with poor ways of handling things) and not her family with the truth? Again, her reasoning doesn't cut it. It is a lose/lose situation - I doubt physically assaulting (slapping, kicking, etc) a guy and expect him to not react is unrealistic. Forget eve-teasing. Even on a playground a boy is more prone to physically fight back than a girl if she is hit. Men are a rule of nature are physical beings, they have fragile egos and more often than not, will retaliate.

Since u r a strong believer in ny individual's right, I am sure u must know that a woman has to fight even more than a man for her rights BCOZ the society is the way it is!!! If women are NOT strong enough to even step out of the limitations set up by the male-leading society, HOW CAN THEY EVER GET THEIR RIGHTS??? Its bcoz Pratigya IS a girl that I consider her act of slapping a jerk as bravery and a sign of a strong woman!

I don't want to go on the parallel track here. Women are breaking the glass ceiling in the workplace and many barriers in society today more than ever before. You really can't turn the course of the ship 180 degrees overnight. These things take time. But one should really pick one's battles. In my book, a strong woman doesn't act first, then think, panic and make matters worse. There is a reason why we are taught at a young age, boy or girl, "to think before you act". You can't put the spilled toothpaste back in the tube. As I said before, women have been labeled the weaker sex when it fact they can tolerate more pain than men, emotionally (no wonder they tolerate abuses)and physically (childbirth). But the reality is also that men can outdo women in physical games (strength), while a woman can outdo a man playing mind games. See how good Prats is at unsettling Krishna with just a cold glare. Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus is not just a slogan.....in some ways we are really different species.

Do u think she didnt know wat would the results be for messing with such jerks??? Why else did she tolerate his disgusting comments instead of slapping him right then and there??? When she slapped Angad, it wasnt bcoz she was hot-temper, I think it was bcoz she was scared and angry at his nasty attempt to touch her after all those nasty comments!!!

I saw her act first, make impulsive decisions then think about how to handle the fallout(she slapped then called for the police). I'd chalk it up to her young age.
If a woman tolerates the eave-teasing just to stay within the society's limitations, what is SHE ever going to teach her sons/future-generation that might bring a change??? If its a girl, she will go ahead and tell her to stay within the society's limitations, if its a guy, she will tell him its not a good thing to do and guys who listen to their mothers will probably not do so BUT wat about those who dont??? How in the world r they going to change if there in no law against eave-teasers??? ting such stuff no one will ever know that these women/girls were teased!!!AND how can there be ny law against eave-teasers if the women/girls just tolerate the teasing to stay within the society's limitations bcoz if they r tolerated.

There are other ways to make sure laws are enacted to protect women without physically acting out. I am of the Gandhian school of thought.......non-violence. Dont' we teach young children to talk things through rather than get into a fist fight. Like I said in my original post, children have to be taught at a very young age through example at home about how to good citizens. Future generations could make things better.
It's rare but there was a nightmarish situation in my hometown years ago where a man killed the husband in broad daylight in front of witnesses bec' he fell in love with this beautiful girl, was so obsessed with her and couldn't see a life without her, but ended in jail for life. He also happened to come from a very rich and esteemed family. It was the biggest scandal for many years that shocked the local community, bec' no one expected this guy to turn out this way. Go figure!
I totally agree with Athena when she says Pratigya was forced into the situation that she is in....simply because she is a 'girl'...PERIOD...

I'd say you can lead a horse to the water but you can't make it drink unless of course we are talking waterboarding style torture which is the exception.

Bcoz, if it was a guy who slapped Angad for teasing Pratigya, the whole scenario would be a little-bit different in that u wouldnt get to blame Pratigya for her downfall but I am not sure if u would blame that guy either!!!

How can I assign blame to Pratigya if she wasn't the one who slapped Angad? Another law of nature, every action has a reaction/result, simple as that. Every action however irrelevant or important comes with a consequence whether we like it or not. Life is a string of choices at every step.

Given how the character Angad is, I bet he would have continued with his revenge plan against Pratigya, simply bcoz she is a girl and easier to deal with!
I think her 'self-defense' was the proof of her bravery and her attempt to change the society where jerks can tease girls in front of the people of the society who just kept glued to their seats, watching the teasing and thinking why should we step out of the limitations of the society!!! AND its Angad, Krishna, her family and the society thats responsible for the situation to go out of control and 'forcing' Pratigya to make a 'choice' between Marrying a stalker or Watching her family and herself suffer in humiliation and fear;

She perceived she was forced to make a decision which is very different than being forced at gun point .....as Krishna pointed out he didn't do to her. One can't blame another for their own perception of a situation and acting on it. Eg. Krishna can't blame Prats bec' she doesn't love him (even tho' she does, she just hasn't figured it out yet as the story is scripted to go down the road😉. BTW, the chances of there being a Krishna/Pratigya in the real world is not impossible in a planet with 6+ billion people, however slim the odds. Life is stranger than fiction. Fiction is sometimes reality.

and NOT Pratigya's fault for being strong to step out of society's limitations!!!

Thanks to Pearl Grey's story, she's lucky she ended up marrying a man who loves her even though she hates his guts (for now at least😉). Based on her reasoning on the show, she would teach a lesson to the guy who committed those heinous crimes against Nitin and her and humiliated her family in society. She just happened to believe it is Krishna bec' he did a few other things before and so she is making him pay for it now. As I asked once before, does that mean she would have married Angad had she known he was the perpetrator of those crimes? Her life would have been a bigger nightmare? I'd say to Prats -GIRL, think first, consider the big picture, then act but make sure you don't go solo when you are not ready to handle it on your won,and please don't bite off more than you can chew. That's it. Jeethe raho beta! Ok!I will leave the podium now.😆😉😃
YaY!!! Me is finally done!!! ThAnX for reading this long opinion!!!😃
