Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor turn up for Sonam Kapoor’s star-studded baby shower

Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor is celebrating a special phase of her life as she prepares to welcome her second child. On Sunday, several well known film personalities arrived at her Mumbai residence to attend her baby shower. The gathering turned into a high profile yet intimate affair, with close friends and family members marking the occasion.

Celebrities such as Kareena Kapoor Khan, Anil Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Bhumi Pednekar, Maheep Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor were seen entering the venue. Paparazzi videos from outside the residence captured the steady arrival of guests, adding to the buzz around the celebration.

Anil Kapoor was among the first to be spotted. The actor arrived in a blue floral kurta pajama and greeted photographers with folded hands before heading inside. Kareena Kapoor Khan followed soon after. She wore a blue ethnic outfit and briefly acknowledged the cameras before entering the venue. Shabana Azmi was seen in a mustard yellow kurta set, keeping her look understated.

Sonam’s cousins also made a style statement. Anshula Kapoor opted for a yellow Anarkali, while Khushi Kapoor arrived in a white and yellow saree. Bhumi Pednekar and Maheep Kapoor were also seen at the baby shower, though they avoided interacting with media.

Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja are already parents to a three year old son, Vayu. The couple got married in 2018 and welcomed their first child in 2022. In November 2025, Sonam confirmed that she is expecting her second child.

The actor shared the news through a social media post that quickly went viral. She posted pictures in a pink outfit inspired by Princess Diana. The look was a vintage Escada by Margaretha Ley from 1988, similar to one of Diana’s well known suits. Sonam captioned the post “Mother” with a kissing face emoji.

The announcement received warm wishes from the film industry. Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor congratulated the couple. Parineeti Chopra commented, “Congrats, mamacitaaa.” Anand Ahuja also shared a message for his wife, writing, “Baby ma.. also chicccccc mama!” The couple has kept celebrations private, choosing to mark the moment with family members.
