Those eternal love stories that you used in your example are just that, STORIES. If you spend enough time with someone you can develop feelings for them especially considering what Sid has done for Ridz, it would take a cold-hearted person to not feel ANYTHING. She herself has said that she doesn't love him but does have feelings for him.

On the other hand, I really dispute the use of the stories you've mentioned like Romeo-Juliet etc cos they are from a time that was centuries before ours and it would be a shame to use such examples for a modern 21st century show. And honestly, if DMG was like those 18th century plays I'd stop watching it for the utter nonsense and unrealistic ideals presented. Time heals everything, and people do move on to an extent, it's human nature.

On another note, I'm kinda angry with Armaan for leaving Ridz even though his reason was noble, it was selfish. HE couldn't see Ridz suffer so HE decided she would be better off without him. But look at what losing him did to her - it completely destroyed her to when she became a cold cruel person and then she collapsed emotionally to becoming the weak and broken soul Sid married. Although his intentions were honorable, I think Armaan should've let Ridz decide... it's her choice, her life and it could have been a lot better if he was in it...mental or stable.

But she lost everyone anyway. It's worrisome that people think taking care of someone you love is a burden. When Armaan left, Ridz left all her friends and family behind. She never gave anyone an explanation to where she was going and it wasn't until she returned for her father that she finally told her friends the lie she was fed about Arman leaving her. In that time that he was gone she became a complete lost case. The things she said to her father, the way she manipulated Sid to leave Sanjeevni - You only had to look at the disgusted expression on Atul's face to see the kind of monster she had turned into. There is no way she would have been like that if he at least saw her before he left or at least wrote her a letter. the excuse that she would have stopped living if he was in her life is baseless cos her life became nothing when he wasn't in it. Yeah it would have been hard but not as hard as things are going to be for Ridz now. So that is selfishness in a nutshell, what armaan did was not selfless just stupid. He took the easy way out and I know hindsight is 20/20 but his decision is gonna haunt him for the rest of his/her/sid's life.

okay! i still am confused due to the ongoing events. i don't really understand what is right or wrong.
AR fans say that if ridz loved armaan so passionately how come she forget him so easily?
and on the other hand SR fans ask the question if armaan can recover so speedily then why not ridz can fall for sid in a month.
okay! according to my POV lets take it if armaan came back after one year, thinking that ridz will be still waiting for him and by that time ridz falls for sid? then what?again the same situation.
according to me such relationships, passionate, selfless, unconditonal need much time to be forgotten, leave alone an year. a person who goes through so much turmoil needs alot more time to recover.
as i always said moving on in life doesnt neccessarily mean to get married. you have many important things to do. riddhima's carrier? where has it gone? deep down in drains . the way she was passionate about her profession seems totally gone. rather help people and your parents and love the fond memories, make yourself stronger than what you were before is rather correct. then tomorrow if your love comes back or somebody else knocks at your heart, you will be able to deal with it maturely.
then riddhima forgetting armaan. yes you don't need to be spoon fed but yes in a serial its a must. we can surely understand that she misses him but then where? if she can recall sids gestures and actions time and again then why not armaan's? do we really need to know through the flashbacks that what sid has done for her has left her astounded and respectful towards him?
no but in a drama while protraying a character you have to let the audience know what actually is going on in your mind, well thats what i think..
after seeing her reaction yesterday, well i am sure now that she has actually not forgotten him. the moment he lands behind her her heart starts thumping and when he touches her, playing with her flicks, her calmness and satisfaction could be seen. she was totally stirred by that touch. okay if she really has stopped feeling for her past and her present is more important than why is she so confused and not telling him to move on in life, because actually she has devoted herself to sid. this really makes me feel that she has not accepted the marriage wholeheartedly as we were being shown from last couple of days. i dont know why she didnt feel the same way when armaan was behind her playing basketball.{ cvs are unpredicable actually}
well now panchgani scene. well most illogical, unmanaged track. armaan leaving riddhima like that, indigestable but it was not ksg and if he would have been there then i am sure armaan would have not left riddhima like that. if they can show snowfall in panchgani, why cant they alter the characters? to thing armaan was just in a vest and ridz and sid not having winter apparels with them in such a cold weather, that itself shows that cvs just wanted to make the situation as they wanted it to be.
armaan leaving riddhima without asking her. okay i feel armaan knows ridz better than everyone. as he said woh uske pyaar mein kisi bhi had tak ja sakti hai! yes he is true. he doesnt know what happened behind him. when armaan actually left her twice because of her attitude, she just went to take him back, not telling her parents, anjie or her friends that she is going because of him. during the shootout scene also she was so stubborn. when armaan and dr shashank were actually telling her to move out, did she listen to them? no never. she didn't care about anybody other than him, do you think she would listen to him or react normally when he himself would go then tell her that i am leaving you for your sake, lets move on. i can well imagine her reaction. we actually saw how she blamed her parents for her situation, when they both were helpless.
he actually never would have thought that she would have gone frantic and abuse everybody around her. actually all of us also never thought that, i thought she would be more matured and patient to deal with her problems. after all life teaches you. and armaan was too concerned about riddhima to give it a second thought!
yes armaan should have come back after recovering to meet riddhima and then have concerts to help other people, but cvs would never think about it right. if he would have straight away come to her even though she is married and then go on doing concerts{ he would have never thought that she would get married so soon!} it would have been better. but cvs can do anything!
atlast i just want to say that i have nothing against SR AND AR. if she thinks that she has really moved on and can actually lend the same love and and passion to the relationship, then she should save her marriage and talk to armaan to tell him move on{ which i can see is not anywhere} she was actually asking herself why he came so late. the way she was controlling her emotions and the way she wanted to hug him just told a different story!
and if she actually feels that armaan his her happiness her soul her life then she should not give pain to herself , armaan and sid and talk o sid and her parents.
those rituals that sacredness are useless and immaterial if they burden or kill the person. and i think riddhima had the spunk and the attitude to stand even amidst a hurricane!

every relationship has problems. if it comes out beautifully even after facing toughest situations then ridz armaan love is not fake. they both have committed mistakes and paid for them as well but their love has deepened in last two years that is actually i think.
