As Saiyaara continues its dream run at the box office, an old video of its lead actor Ahaan Panday has emerged online, offering a raw peek into his early acting days. The clip, reportedly from an acting workshop held years ago, is gaining traction on Reddit and other social platforms—primarily for its unfiltered portrayal of a small-town Bihari character, played by an 18-year-old Ahaan.
In the throwback footage, Ahaan transforms into a character named Tiwari, switching effortlessly into a thick Eastern UP-Bihari accent. The scene opens with the actor in a makeup chair, getting into character. Moments later, he’s seen exchanging lines with a fellow actor playing a cop. “Arey tumko kaahe bataye bhaiya?” he snaps, his delivery punctuated by the street-smart tone and physicality of a small-town goon. When asked, “Tera haal kaisa hai re?”, Ahaan responds with a smirk, “Nikle the hum halwa khaane,”—a line now being quoted widely across fan pages.

The moment is strikingly different from his polished onscreen presence in Saiyaara and reflects the kind of ground-level prep that often goes unnoticed in star journeys.
The resurfaced clip comes at a time when Ahaan is riding high on the success of Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. The romantic drama, released on 18 July 2025, has raked in over Rs 278.5 crore net domestically, and more than Rs 400 crore globally making it the highest-grossing Hindi romantic film to date, surpassing even Kabir Singh.
Recently, Ahaan and co-star Aneet Padda were seen holidaying in Bali to mark the film’s success. Clips from their vacation have gone viral, including one where a fan tears up while meeting the actor, and another showing Ahaan walking the streets in relaxed attire, acknowledging fans with folded hands.
Saiyaara tells the story of Krish, a struggling musician, and Vaani, a writer, as they navigate love and heartbreak. The film features an ensemble cast including Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Sid Makkar, and Alam Khan.
