Help me make sense of some things

When KB first showed on the air it seemed to be about a 28 year old girl who was relatively overweight who could not find a husband. She had recently tried to lose some of her weight so she could have a better chance of finding a husband. Apparently she had 10 rejections in the past and is not very optimistic in finding anyone. As if things could not get worse, the one guy who does want her is the local troll and sleezebag of the neighborhood. Unable to get out of a horrible rishta with him, we start to sympathize with her plight and eagarly await for Prince Charming to come and rescue her. Then along comes Abhi in his red jeep...

Now, consider the premise, 28 year old girl, multiple rejections, overweight and seen as unattractive by others is suddenly the dream girl of a 22 year old guy who is supposed to be rich, apparently confident and charming (depending on the creatives mood) and relatively decent looking (depending on the mood of the make-up artist, hair and wardrobe team). Exactly when and how did this happen? I know he found her pretty in front of the temple and felt sympathetic towards her plight, but was that enough upon which to establish a relationship? I don't think so.

hahaha laila I was watching the Zee rishthey awards and i saw that Sudhir of Sunshine production house I think they showed when Smriti was getting the ward I wanted to go inside my plasma TV and shake him uip and ask him the zillion question what was the actual stroy behind getting Simi fall of Abhi and visa versa !!

1) I treated you soo harshly and gave you back ur precious things and you still when ahead and made sure i did'nt marry nakul

2) You sold of your jeep which was precious for you How can I help you get it back I am soo sorry i never wore your ring and was forced to wears Nakul's dadi's given Kandani kada or Shagun ka kada!!

Laila the MAJOR problem is that she got married and thats FULL STOP for her !!

But any normal soo many times rejected girl will obviously want to know why Abhi liked her and was hell bent on marrying the person you love
What does love mean for him
For her she takes the scientific angle
(remember Suraj ki Kinay ) and her other famous dialogue ( Tumhara pyaar hil gaya Itnee Jaldoi ) (Electrolyte situation )

If I were Simi I would have made beautiful conversation with Abhi and poured in zillion questions and since earlier never got a chance you have bent the hell out of him asking questions and getting answers

😆 trust you Laila to come up with such questions...........me too am searching for the answers and the way the story is going right now its anybody's guess if we can get any answers at all........definately a woman like simi would be on cloud nine if at all she gets a abhi in her life.........but here they want to show the mahaan tyaag ki naari who is ready to sacrifice everything at abhi's cost to save her family 😡

LATA What tyag yaar now you are married so tyaag for your immidiate family ie.e pourlove top your husband and think abt him and his life his carrer ur carre and your future together
RS is alive and Manju is there let them handle some situatoons for a while till you focus on settling ur life

Ur lucky that Abhi is soo supportive since he is at that age that he can easily drift away
U r blessed to have a guy like him and make the best use of this oppertunity

You know, I think the creatives think we must be oldfashioned women because we believe Simi should be considerate of Abhi, but why shouldn't she if he deserves it? Guys like Abhi do not come around every day. I realize he's fictious and a character in a show, but he's someone who has done so much for Simi time and time again and she not even appreciative of it. When she thanks him it's so insincere.

Often writers create characters that are reflective of their selves and it does bother me that perhaps the creatives themselves believe that men should be taken for granted regardless of what they do. I really hope that is not the case and that they are willing to take the plunge and provide us with an egalatarian relationship between these two characters who take the time out to appreciate what each other gives to the relationship.

I truly agree If i was the writer or so many of us sitting here and talking we would have considered all angles
I would have done some research as to how a 30 year old rejected several times accpeted a 22 year old giy as her life partner and what is theior outcome after marraiage how they will deal with their thought due to age doiifference and how the girl satisfies her desires with her husband with giving him small pockts of happiness and how they prove to be a right pair in the society
