Amrita was one of them, the way she expressed herself I found it very funny and infact I was laughing at what she said. Only someone very confident could talk like that, while in most of the cases I have seen people who talk like that are the "damp squibs". But once I saw her performing, realized how serious she was/is. That girl was dying to come to the stage and perform.

Very talented or less talented, we(Indians) always like sweet/soft talking people that too with a good face value rather than a confident one with not so eye pleasing face value. While in the west, being confident is a very desirable quality for a contestant.

Also you could think this way, it's not for being annoying that made Geeta not select her, probably what happened to Mandakini(getting ousted inspite of being very talented) last year made her take such a decision.

I understand what you are saying, and I really like your comments. She is confident I agree, but still there is something I find annoying about her... I never found Mandakini annoying though... I always felt Mandakini lacked stage presence, but I didnt have problems with her talks or face... I feel Amrita like Prince and Shashank in some way, some kind of arrogance or pride, something I feel... That was a big turn off for me with Prince and same with Shashank now... I still prefer Amrita over them though... I really like confident people, but dislike over-confident people... You know what I mean... Oh she was shown in that audition one? I didnt notice... But I remember her dance for the audition... I liked her audition dances but somehow I never felt connected with her and never liked her personality...

In fact I didnt like Kruti much in the auditions.. Now I like her a lot, because the more I saw her dance and heard her speak, the more I liked her... So I am hoping I might end up liking Amrita too like that... Beauty is something many people will have different perceptions... But I agree with you about how desis prefer sweet talking people with cute faces more than not so cute faces... I dont understand why Amrita didnt audition last year...?!

^ Akku, did u get this part of Amrita in the auditions, cos she couldn't digest it that she was not chosen in the top 18, in other words she was confident that she had to be in the top 18....and she was the only contestant who did not give a damn abt the standby...

^^DC, yes I remember her saying that - was it in the house arrest or limelight?? I agree that she deserved to be in top 18 and not Shruti or even Teena for that matter... But I am sure if she was in, she would have been eliminated before top 8, and looking at the pattern she may not have had a chance to return as an eliminated contestant... So I guess she was fortunate to be in stand-by that the janta also developed some sympathy for her - we all did after seeing how bad Shruti and Teena were... But I hope she tweaks her personality a bit, and that yeyeyeye thing doesnt work with me either...

well hope she does well from now on...btw did u notice, in the WC round, all contestants from GKG got a kya baat from Mithunda...Geeta is doing wonders this time...

^Pradarshak, I think Amrita can do many styles, I guess she is versatile...dunno if she can emote that well, am not in love with her expressions. But I might like her expressions as we progress...I love her dancing style... but yeah I think she is gonna talk a lot on the show now....

Yes, you are right Akanna. getting selected in top 18 could have been a different story for Amrita, it came to my mind too. May be last year Mandakini could have made it through wild card and not getting selected in top 18 and we could have enjoyed some class acts by Terence-Mandakini.

I know you are a fan of all Terence students 😊. No doubt, he chooses good ones. Talking about Kruti, actually I liked her in the audition and very much wished her to be in. But somehow I am not highly impressed with her performances, she does not have the spark like Vrushali. On the other hand, Amrita's audition was so-so for me. She blew me away with her last two performances, her Saturday's performance was great but her Cha-cha with Altaf is something not many can attempt (out of the reamaining girls I can only imagine Shakti). The good thing about her is she is just not good in one form, also seen her classical act. Though Bollywood/Comedy????...Hmmm.....not sure🤔Hope Amrita is not going to be just 'two-performance wonder" and does not "annoy' the audiences by opening her mouth 😉.

You are most welcome. Yes, maybe Mandakini would have done better with Terence... We didnt get to watch it... Regarding Kruti, I really liked most of her performances after she got into TKT... Her jazz with Vandana, bhojpuri salsa with Amar, her two solo acts, etc were all liked very much by me... I agree though that she misses the kind of spark that Vrushali had... I consider her as this season's Vrushali though in terms of expressions...

Amrita's chachacha is something I didnt like much... I liked her contemporary solo a lot. But in the chachacha, she lacked the proper chemistry, eye contact with her partner and proper expressions. She was having her usual big smile throughout the act and that was inappropriate for a sensuous dance like chachacha.. In fact I liked the Latino dances performed by Vrushali and Alisha last season! Nothing and no one can beat that, at least not yet so far on the show!!

BTW good news for you - the sources say that Amrita's performance was one of the best two in the top 12 performances on Saturday! She and Jack had the best acts apparently...
