Because his name was involved in the black buck case that took place at the time of Hum Saath Saath Hain. He was one of hte actors who went with salman, including Tabu, Sonali, everoene except karisma.

I ownder if tabu had won an honor today, would they have done the same for her.

So the activists burned saif's effigy on the streets.

LAME! What about those actors who have an affair even being married with kids? Why not burn their posters?

So he accompanied sallu on that trip. And no on esays anything. And a decade later when he wins an honor for something COMPLETELY UNRELATED (for contribution to the field of arts), that matter's brought up and somehow tied up with his award and made out into a controversy.

Khudi ko kar buland Itna kay har taqdeer say phelay khuda banady say khud poochay bata teri raza kya hai yes god give all respect to Aamir Khan people have regards for Aamir he is not Cheechora like some one did in Music mah muqabala.

I don't get it! So last year when Akshay Kumar won it which I thought was equally undeserving they did not burn any effigy! So waht he was involved in some case! As if Akki is some saint! Why target Saif? 😕It's one thing to say someone's award is undeserving but to take it to this level is a waste of country's time, money and man power!!

They are completely unrelated, and have very much won their awards without controversy.

I dont think zareena even mentioned Aamir so lets not drag Srk in.

Poor guy.

Saif should just refuse his award. this controversy being brought out was so not worth it. it has nothing to do with his acting, his talent, his career, NOTHING.

Its like people just found some excuse to target every aspect of his life. On twitter, the jokes are about kareena and his personal life. And amongst these so called activists, lets bring up a case that his name was connected to over a decade old.

This is going too far.

How many politicians r there who kill PEOPLE leave animals.They shamelessly go stand in elections and win represent people of india ???

How many rowdys,gundas r cms,mps mlas of india??

But going after an actor that too for an award which was given as freely as biscut is a shame:((((.Y dont people concentrate on their local problems like schools,irrigation or other things and do morchas which might actually solve their problems.

Though i still think he does not deesrve it but feel bad for him for the type of backlash he is getting.He does not deserve such treatment either.
