Its not just a comedy though. Its mostly about life's journey and lessons you learn. Vidhu Vinod Chopra said that he feels 3 Idiots will make a lot of impact. He said he heard of a student who jumped from her window when ehr mom was in the other room adn gave her life. He literally said he feels that if htat kid had watched 3 Idiots, she woudlnt have jumped.

hmm....i dunt think its a comedy as such....its just a fun film showing the ligheter aspects of college life but the main plot/theme is pretty serious....its kinda like questioning the education system and the story is apparently that: Maddy and sharman are searching for Aamir (who influenced them soo much in their lives)...because he suddenly goes missing after college or sumthing...!
