OK agreed..But Listen to ae zindagi once dint Debo make huge mistake,I too agree it was injustice giving him4 But He was deserving only 6 not more than that. One more thing In the Karma song Wjere Hema forgot Some lines, ID gave him 5 and when Vinit Forgot few lines in chale chalo he gave 9,Isn't that Injustice?
I agree that ID was the most respectable man until Nihira's exit,But not afterwards, His walk-out was preplanned drama to get vote 4 Debo
I just listened to both the songs you mentioned.
Debu's Ae Zindagi - He clearly goofed up once singing "chupkar zamane se" line, but the rest of his song was good sur-wise. He ofcourse did not have the zing of the original song, but I believe that one sur mistake was not worth deducting 6 points. Giving him 4 was cruel. To me, that appeared like a pre-meditated action from AS.
Hema's Karma Song - I think Hema was OK sur-wise all through the song.. But I did spot the following errors - (1) pronounciation. He said 'mein' instead of 'main' (Hindi for "I"). (2) Incorrect lyrics in line 2 - tera sub kuch mein mera sub kuch tu (3) After "Hindu Muslim" line, he started with the lyrics "hum karen jo juda na", which are wrong to begin with, and didn't finish the line either. I believe missing the line is considered a bigger blunder than goofing up the lyrics. (4) Wrong wordings in "ham jiyenge ya marenge", He ended it with "humnaam hain", instead of "ae vatan tere liye".
He too did not have the zing of the original song. I'm not sure what else ID saw lacking in his singing, but it was the first time he gave anyone so low ranking. Maybe AS's open partiality against Debu prompted him to give him 5, while he could probably have added another point - this is just my speculation. It is also possible that he gave hema a 5 just to wake him up, because Hema didn't appear to be "in" the show.. it looked like his mind was elsewhere or disturbed for some reason.. if you noticed, he made several mistake that day, which is not typical of him.
ID's walkout - we'll never know if that was pre-planned. It is possible that he did it on the spur of the moment seeing that both HR and AS were openly suggestive of throwing Debu out of the competition by way of giving him lower points repeatedly. I'm sure you'll agree that AS still almost always gives Debu low points, with no apparent reason.
It still beats me how three music directors, all established and well-known, and supposed to understand music enough to judge it, can differ so highly on who performed well and who did not. I don't trust AS and HR's judgement's anymore, but I still like ID a lot.
