The two new releases Karan Johar's Wake Up Sid and David Dhawan's Do Knot Disturb had a good opening. Thanks to the long weekend starting Friday. While debutant director Ayan Mukerji's Ranbir-Konkona starrer Wake Up Sid continued to pull audiences throughout the weekend because of the good reviews, Do Knot Disturb fizzled out sooner.
Surprisingly, Salman Khan's Wanted continued its successful run over the weekend. In fact, the film picked up from its last wee collections and crossed Rs 50 crore mark.

According to senior trade pundit Amod Mehra, "The collections of Wake Up Sid are satisfactory in multiplexes and little less in single screens. Overall the movie is good. For Do Knot Disturb, the opening was not good; collections were average and the film will be a sure loser because it was sold at a heavy price. Wanted is still doing great, the movie has crossed 50 crore all over the world."
Trade analyst Amar Solanki said, "According to me Wake Up Sid is for multiplexes and big cities. Its not for small cities. Do Knot Disturb is for the B and C class audiences."
Manoj Desai of G7 cinemas has a different take to the situation. He said, "The promotion of Wake Up Sid was not up to the mark. The movie is also slow. Since the film is about a rich spoiled brat, the rich people will like the film. The movie is for the multiplexes and not for single screens. Collections were good till Sunday but have shown a drop from Monday. Monday onwards will be the testing time for this film. The film has an advantage next weekend because of only one release, Acid Factory. The collection of Do Knot Disturb was good till Sunday. The audiences are not liking the film because of cheap and repeated comedy. Govinda and Sushmita are looking old. Wanted is still going strong. The film has done what it had to do."
