PD, just wanted to say a heart-felt thanks to you and the rest of the creative team. MJHT remains to this day one of the most unique programs on the Indian Telly.
We've seen a growth in almost all the characters since the serial debuted.
1) Uday - Despite being the 'dodo' that he is, we were able to see that he genuinely cared about Tam ma'am. We've also seen his bond with the morena sisters strengthen over time.
2) Dia - We've seen her mellow down over the past few months. I guess falling in love does that to you. She truly believes that RV cares about her and hence she is able to be less hostile to Sam and Gunjan's relationship. She also respects herself enough to say 'no' to things she is not comfortable with.
3) Samrat - There was never any doubt that Sam's a great friend. But the way he continuously watches Dia's back is endearing. Initially, it seemed to appear that Samrat's character was pretty shallow when it came to love relationships. But his sincerity came through loud and clear when he was trying to make a go of it with Sheena. Although he still hasn't connected with his true feelings, we can see that he's getting there.
4) Gunjan - Shy to a fault, Gunjan's character has been a true revelation. Having such a strong moral character herself, she was still able to accept Samrat as he was with all his weaknesses. She fell in love and overcame her own heart-ache to become the best friend any one could hope for. Her last few words to Sheena were a testament to her love for Sam.
And lastly, my two favourites
5) Mayank - A good son, a good student and a good human being. He had his path all mapped out for him. Love was not for him, but when he fell, he fell hard. He fought it all he could in the beginning. Being human, he transferred some of this conflict to Nupur as well. Haven't we all done this? But, he was smart enough to realize that the love would always be there. So why not give it a chance?
I know that many ppl have had complaints about his sudden transformation to ,'lover boy', but I think you guys have handled it very well. Love makes you want to do crazy things for your partner. And Mayank has maintained his own style while expressing his love.
6) Nupur - Who wouldn't want a sister like her? She has consistently supported Gunjan even when she didn't agree with Gunjan's decision. She loves life and knows how to enjoy every minute of it. She thrives on challenges.
I do have a small issue with the way her love for Mayank is portrayed. Although it became clear during the play just how attached she was to Mayank, since then I haven't noticed any growth. There is so much scope to show Mayank and Nupur growing with their relationship. Having such opposing personalities, they have truly come together to complete each other. In more ways than one. Nupur's mom and Mayank's dad have left a void in their lives which they can help each other fill.
PD, I have complete faith that you will take this serial to new heights in the months to come. I truly respect the thought and effort that you put in to entertain us daily.
One small request - Please continue to keep the Mayur story going while Sajan's story is developing. Arjun and Rati are fantastic actors and they've totally won our hearts. We would be truly heart broken if their story took a back-seat.
