so i just finished watching New York, i waited for a good quality print to watch it...
i heard alot about katrina's performance in the movie, how she ended up shedding tears seeing her own performance, praised her director for taking the best out of her...ppl/critics saying she finally came out of her shell...even after reading all that, i kept my expectations low....
but still i found nothing special about her in NY....the only thing i see improvement in is her hindi....otherwise she was pretty mediocre....the scene where the twin towers falls, and they see the news on tv....and she cries on john's shoulder, that scene was performed very very poorly from her...
the onli part i liked her in was wen she follows neil into his room with a gun, and asks him "kaun ho tum", and we come to know that she knows her husband is a terrorist...that was the onli seen where i cud say, yes, she performed it well....otherwise she was how she is in every other movie of hers, minus singing, dancing and beautiful clothes/jewellry....
as for the other performances, i liked irfan khan the most...and den neil came 2nd...john wasnt all that great either, he onli performed well in the scenes where he was tortured in prison...
