The basic premise of Choti Bahu is based on the fact that Radhika made the vows and Vishaka is impersonating her which makes us revisit the very idea of marriage. Is it just a social commitment or more? In this case it is even more irksome that the two main protagonists are so madly in love with each other, that it is painful for the viewers to see them so miserable without the other.

Marriage is a huge commitment that is social as well as spiritual. The social aspect of it includes all that stuff we hear people talk about in the serial, including "kartavya", duty etc. However, the spiritual bond enjoyed between the couple is something that also needs addressing "legitimately"!

It may have been fine to have a script where such a 'switch" of bride goes unnoticed for some time. But it has gone on for too long. The script needs to resolve the legality of the marriage and proceed with the problems that would be faced by society and by the couple when the "switch" is indeed discovered.

There are several tracks that can be supported here that opens up several cans of worms, be they the abusive attitudes and hypocrisy of Amma, the cunning of Mrinalini, the future of Vishaka, the shock of Sastri ji and the ridicule he would have to face after the truth comes out, the confusion of Devki, the tenacity of Dadima, the worry of the stigma of social disapproval of Vaishali, the support of Birju and the transformation of Vivek from frustrated/depressed to one of being joyous and cured with maybe taming his wife and making her fall for him all over again! And of course the overcoming of each and every one of these by the "Rab ne banadi Jodi" of Dev and Rads!

I agree blokes, I hope the creatives realise there is more to this story than just the union.

Imagine when the truth comes out, how do you think the Purohit Khandaan will react, there will be a lot of anger especially from Dadi and Vaishali, and some of it might be directed towards Radhika, lots of creative options here...but who will explain to the creatives??!

I hope they at least show Shastriji and Radhika scenes more instead of Devki who cannot act. At least it will show some goodness instead of just evil all the time. The guy can at least act but him pretending to not know what is going on is getting annoying. Today Nandu was saying something about her marriage and he just brushed it off or didn't hear.

Today for the first time Dev mentioned the RP incident and how Radhika came to PB. That ceremony was almost like a marraige ceremony. He also put Mangalsutra around Radhika's neck. Do you think deep down in his heart he considers himself married to Radhika? Yesterday watched the episode where tells her to remove the sindoor. In that episode he tells her to look in his eyes and tell him why she puts sindoor and next morning when she comes for the aarti without her sindoor he looks both angry and upset.

very-well said... the creatives feel that the union is the main thing that's why they keep delaying it... i think more important than that is when the truth comes out, how everyone reacts.. the change in the characters..how radhika is accepted into PB...dev's reaction etc.

the only regret is that CB has made a mockery out of marriage... an umarried woman is living with a man, an unmarried woman living alone and lying constantly, a wife having an affair with another man.. gosh! its such a big mess that i dont know what will happen when the truth will come out.. everyone is full of lies!

yesterdays episode showed that nandu runs to tell dev about rad is his wife
yes only innocent children can talk without any fear or reservation or any pressure...
i hope dev should give weightage to his talk....rads also should not deny
dev,s happiness is of paramount importance to her
they can make a pact to reveal to others when proper time comes...i hope this time there should not be any sort of blockade
we like rads to do bhoomi pooja for the temple....due to some circumstances like bad weather or something pb guys should not arrive incl of kesh...
vrindavan is so serene let the lovers have some sweet moments
forgetting everything unpleasant
this is thier adhikar
remember in vrindavan kanha,s presence is there to bless them

Note that Choti Bahu has become a pretty radical and liberal show -- they do not believe in the institution of marriage. It is a mere formality and anyone can stand in for you! Very modern and very futuristic, I must say!

But then to do this Dee, there needs to be an intelligent set of people who sit around a table and discuss characterization and plot. evidently, just like the music that is canned, so is the text- collages from other places...There is no originality (though the original" plot appears new enough).
