I'm also a Foreighner I agree with Dadisa though.. We see these underage single mothers all the time around here but what do they have in their hands other than kids and their monthly benefits, nothing. but things are different in India. Its not about being from a rich or poor family its about the repuation, once you get a bad stigma it won't go away and it makes harder to live in the Society. Not as easy as here to sell everything and move away to a different city. I know that the baby should not be punished but it will ruin Sugna's life and future so I think she would have aborted. Sugna should have never taken that step to begin with but shes just a kid herself regardless of anything. Shes 17 maybe if she was a little older things would have been different for her and the baby.Originally posted by: My Kuromi
Maybe it's because I'm a foreigner, but I am truly disgusted with Daadisa. An innocent baby has to suffer for the so-called "sins" of the mother? Are you kidding me? Unwed mother or not, if someone tried to take my baby away, I would fight them tooth and nail to protect my child. What kind of society is this that a child, and innocent baby, has to die so a rich family can "save face".
I know this is the culture, but it will NEVER be right to me, ever.
I just had a baby two months ago. Yes, I am nearing 30, and I'm married as well, but even if I wasn't, I would neve allow anyone to take my child away from me, Daadisa included. I find a baby having to die so "people won't talk" truly disgusting. Yeh, Suguna shouldn't have done that, but why does that poor baby have to pay for it?
Unbelievably cruel and heartless.
