well said me too agree show is so depressingThe earlier episodes fascinated me with their insight into the minds and lives of a Rajasthani rural family. Now its become plain silly.
They have destroyed just about all the characters except Maasa's and I think its because Surekha Sikri's monumental talent will simply not allow her character to fall apart like the others.
Look at the story line - Three are three main tracks in this family - the Anandi track, which showed so much promise and captured the imagination of the nation has fizzled out with Anandi being reduced into a confused young girl who can only say "par Dadisa" or "par Suguna" and then get yelled at.
The Suguna track...let me see, pregnant, widowed and now being courted by the scion of the village's second most wealthy family? ...this storyline will attract a certain kind of audience, but not the one that got watching BV in the first place.
The Phooli line....why oh why did they introduce that remarriage episode? all of a sudden, that charming family seems farcical in the way they decided in three days to get their daughter married off...that whole episode was designed to coincide with akshaya threethiya...again to prove some inane point since there are a lot of child marriages happening that day.
The Gehna track was fine except I am completely confused with the role of the music teacher. And that situation with the fire in the room with these guys, so immersed in music that they were oblivious to the smoke that was getting everyone else rushing into the room in panic?
If the producers of BV wish to position themselves as a serial with a message, then they should be sure that their message is correct and realistic. The "village folks" at whom this is supposedly directed are not exactly stupid or unthinking.
