Which actress will steal the show in 2009/2010

S Shankar's Endhiran stars Tamil superstar Rajnikanth in a double role. Rajni plays a scientist, who creates a robot replica of him. Ash plays the scientist's girlfriend. But the robot -- who has human emotions -- becomes evil, and puts humanity at risk. He also falls in love with Ash's character. The film's shooting is complete.

Mani Ratnam's Raavan also stars Abhishek Bachchan, R Mahadevan and Govinda, and is a bilingual in Tamil and Hindi. The Tamil version is called Ashokvanaam. The film tells the modern-day story of Sita after Raavan abducts her and keeps her in Ashovan. The film is currently under production.

Vipul Shah's Action Replay also stars Akshay Kumar, and is currently on the floors. Shah is very secretive about the story even though the film is rumoured to be similar to Brad Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Shah insists that his film is based on a play of the same name.

Abhinay Deo's Crooked sees Ash opposite husband Abhishek once again. It also stars Gul Panag, Jimmy Shergill and Boman Irani. It is yet to start shooting. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Crooked is apparently on the lines of The Bourne Identity. It will be shot in Greece, Istanbul, Thailand and India.

Anthony D'Souza's Blue also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan and Lara Dutta. It is the story of three friends, who go deep into the ocean in search of hidden treasure. The film is set to release in May.

Kabir Khan's New York stars John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Irrfan Khan, and tells a story of the ordeals these three Muslim friends have to go through post 9/11.

Raj Kumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani stars Ranbir Kapoor and Upen Patel. It is a romantic comedy, and Katrina's real life hero Salman Khan make a cameo.

Prakash Jha's Rajniti sees Katrina play a politician -- rumoured to be Sonia Gandhi -- for the first time. It also stars Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpai. It is expected to release in January.

Priyadarshan's De Dana Dan sees Katrina re-unite with her most popular onscreen hero Akshay Kumar. The film also stars Suniel Shetty, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy and Paresh Rawal. The shooting for this comedy is still on.

Ashutosh Gowariker's What's your Raashee? is a romantic comedy starring Hurman Baweja. It is adapted from a Gujarati novel by Madhu Rye. The film tells a story about a Gujarati boy, who has to find a girl to marry within 10 days to save his family from a tragic end. Shooting is still going on.

Then there is Vishal Bhardwaj's Kaminey which sees Shahid Kapur in a double role. The film marks the acting debut of Taare Zameen Par director Amol Gupte, in a negative role. The story is about a pair of slum-raised twins -- one who stammers while the other who lisps. The film is ready for release.

Another film ready for release is Don't worry, which has been directed by KC Bokadia. The film stars Govinda opposite Priyanka.

And finally we have Pyar Impossible to be directed by Jugal Hansraj. The film which is being produced by Yash Raj stars Uday Chopra and Dino Morea. This film is still in the pre-production stages.
