Salman Khan is back with Dus Ka Dum

Dus Ka Dum's season one not only gave host Salman Khan a reason to celebrate with its success, but the channel and his fans as well. And this year, the star is back and ready to entertain with season two.

A source from the production house says, "There were rumours about Salman Khan being replaced and the production house coming up with another game show hosted by Anil Kapoor but the channel has a contract with Salman for the second as well as the third season."

Last season proved to be a hit for the channel and the show generated a good amount of TRPs. The source elaborates, "The TRPs were more than 2 at the weekend primetime slot. The response for the entire season was great and the channel immediately decided to come out with a new season.

Even though people had their doubts, Salman managed to entertain well. He has a huge female fan following across all age groups and it really worked for him. This season too, we hope to bring in more celebrities and friends of Salman. The format of DKD will remain the same."

The new season of DKD is expected to air after Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 3 concludes. The source says, "Jhalak started four weeks ago and is expected to finish by the end of May. We will start DKD's new season in June. We have already spoken to Salman and he has agreed to give us dates in June, though specific dates have not been decided on as yet."

Last year, DKD aired for two and a half months, allowing audiences to see the different shades of Salman on the show. The question most frequently asked by all the contestants to the superstar was whether he planned to marry soon. Let's hope that this year Sallu has an answer for them.

aww....im soooo happy...dun i luv salman or wat...

seriously the way dis dude has hosted the show...no srk or amitab can eva even come close to it..hez a true superstar...n anil kapoor...no wayy...he shuld rather work on his daughter's sinking career...2 flops in a row..(well thats a different story altogether)

since DKD went off air..sallu's bad time started...God tussi gr8 ho released followed by many other big flops...also he had a huge fite wid srk after that which every1 knows pretty well by now...i hope salman is able to gain the position he lost again wid this show..wish him all the best...n cheers to me...finally i'll have sumfin to watch on tv...

i don't think one can compare him to Big B.. he was way too awesome..!! and i loved Shahrukh's show although it was such a dry show, yet he managed to make it fun.. and as for Dus Ka Dum, i think more than salman's hosting, the format is quite fun very engaging for the audience.. hence, it was a hit..

but yeah, the format of the show is fun.. and i will defo. watch it..!
