Funny thing is that Kareena was first offered priyanka's role...but when she said no to it... Priyanka was given tht role...

no dear kareena wanted to priyanka's role .... she has always been open for these kind of roles but directors abbas mustan couldnt think of kareena as sonia so they approached priyanka, kareena was offered priya's role, though priya is a postive role and the main heroine role she bagged it, but she was desperate to do sonia, there were many articles and news abt it also

I watched hte making ot Aitraaz, and Abbas Mustan said that they first went to kareena iwth both roles. Because she was also doing Fida at hte time, a negative character, she decided to opt for Priya, the protagonist. Kareena wasnt desperate for htat role, she alreayd had neha in fida.

aitraaz was a good movie mostly because it raised an important issue like ektas angel mentioned that men can be harassed too, i agree with the observation both priyanka and kareena were more central characters in bringing about events in the movie then priyanka, priyanka was really good as a negative character i'd like to see her in more gray characters in future because she was really natural.
