Ditto! The treatment makes a WORLD of a difference! All movies have the same basic storylines only....it is the way the scenes are enacted that makes all the difference! Bidaai is fantastic at this!

I agree with you guys. For example, when the singing session was going on I loved the way they portrayed that the family was trying to relive a HAHK because when everybody asked Mamaji to sing, Malti was like "Haan Babuji Hum Aapke Hai Kaun ka gaana gaayiye" , therefore the scene did not look like a HAHK rip off. I mean if I were in their place with my family we also would have sung the same songs in the same manner a la HAHK- this factor makes the scene all the more realistic. Even when Mamiji sang with full of emotion, I had tears in my eyes- I was not so moved even by the original HAHAK track. So, I have no complaints.

@Kavya: I haven't seen the epi yet, but your description of that scene sounds great!
You know, Bidaai may have a heavy influence from the Rajshri brand of filmmaking, but it's not like they hide it, the Barjatyas are openly thanked in the credits.
I think Bidaai scores an advantage over the movies in some ways that the audience gets attached to television characters even more in some ways cuz they watch them almost everyday regularly....a movie is 3 hours and then done.....Since this constant connection keeps getting built thru television, when these kind of scenes are shown on the characters, it touches the hearts of the audience even more....ofcourse, the treatment as we're all saying, makes that truly crucial difference.
I honestly that some Rajshri sequences used in Bidaai have been better than the originals.....especially the Paani sequence.

The last two Episodes (including today) did remind me of the Rajshri Movie Factory..😉...especially the entire cricket n picnic scene, n Alok Nath's Sambdhan ka gaana with all the enacting intact...a straight pick from HAHK..😳...the scene on the terrace where Ranvir asks Ragini to wear that dress for him...reminded me of Maine Pyar Kiya..😳...remember "Mere Rang Me".....Alok Nath even had the similar emotions on his face like he did in HAHK..😉 😆...must have been a 'Down the Memory Lane' experience for him!

I'm not surprised though that so many scenes are being picked from the Rajshri Movies...i did notice that the Bidaai Creative team has two of the Barjatiya's on it! 😉 😊...so that explains the similarities i guess...
