Dont get me wrong! I love this show. More than anything, i love the story and that it is so different from K sopas BUT
I find there are many similarities between this show and Rajshree productions movies. I know almost all the shows are copied from movies but this show is no different in that sense (again i love this show but that is the fact)

Some similarities are:
- Vivaah (Amritha and Shahid kapoor) The story of Amrita (played by sadhna) and her cousin (Ragini). How Sadhna is adopted since her parents are dead and how mami was jealous because of this. Eventually mami likes sadhna. Same story was in the movie.
- The language - The way Alok nath talks is almost like he was talking in HAHK.
- Cricket - Ofcourse there was a cricket sequence in HAHK and now in Bidaii
- Picnic - This was similar to everyone stay up at night and playing that pillow game in HAHK
This show also has taken stories from other soaps. Girl getting married to handicapped man. In Sindhoor tere naam ka, the younger sister gets married to handicap guy to get her crazy sister married inte family.
I just could not help but to notice many other things.... what do you guys think?

hi patelzzz
there r many similarities to the rajshri movies....n the makers have accepted that.....they even credit the rajshris in the title credits....so its not like they r stealing or something.....so its all right......
as for the whole marrying a mad person etc storyline goes.......its a common feature used in hindi serials n movies from a very long time....where the guy is handicapped in some way or the other ....mentally or physically......so there's no copyright on those ideas as such.....
also its the way they r presented in the show that makes them seem so lovely.....so i guess its all right.....😊
thats my opinion.... 😊....

Hey dear,
Just my 2 cents!!
Well i would just say it looks similar but the way the scenes r presented is what makes it worth watching....Its different in its own way and its amazing hence and thats why ppl love the scenes...However the best part is the scenes follow the crux of the story and make it more entertaining..So i have no complains!!

Luv,

Rajshri movies rock am a massive fan was watching the episode today the language which i love etc did remind me off it ..its good if its done well...mean ektas copied them as well in kis desh blantenly.
Colour of the two girls was taken from vivah as well then the rich/poor thing from Maine pyar kiya.
Its a really well made show with cast which is the main thing..

Copyright? Bidaai has merely used the concept of the seedhi sadhi girl marrying the handicapped guy....(which, btw, is a concept that has been used for years time and time again in both movies and TV)....but the direction in which the story of Sadhna and Alekh has developed is TOTALLY DIFFERENT to that of anything else....I don't believe the rights need be obtained from any serial as such....

All shows are inspired from something or the other. It is the treatment that makes the difference. Yes, this show is heavily influenced by Rajshri movies and some storylines have also been used in soaps previously, but the way everything has been handled is what makes it great.

The Rajshri movies have a special charm to them and to be able to bring that out in a daily soap consistently is amazing I think.

Yup and the influence is only sporadic. They took the original concept from vivah which they freely admit to and now they are blending the cute sequences so well, that being said they are adding their own touches, for example i found the pani scene to be way cuter on RagVir (i didn't like it much in vivah) and then the whole men cooking is new, i am sure even tommorow, they will add their own spin on the samdhi samdhan song and the terrace scene
no complaints

Yeah, exactly Anu!
Almost all shows are inspired from either one thing or the other.....I think we'd all be hard-pressed to a find a serial that is truly original....And of course, even if a show is somewhat original in its concept that doesn't necessarily mean that the development of the story will be all that spectacular anyways...and usually consistent crappy storytelling is enough to put off any viewer no matter how intriguing the concept is....

Totally agree, Shumi! Can't even begin to tell you how many times that has happened with me!😆.....Most shows are just not able to maintain good storytelling past a few months of starting a show with an intriguing concept....and then no matter how good the actors are or how good their chemistry is, when there IS NO story only, what is a hapless viewer to do???😕😆

yup, its been "inspired" by many of sooraj's movies
Although i really do not like the 'remake' attempt, I do not mind it as much because the overall showing of bidaai is very original
