| Aamir Ali likes to stay away from controversies, but this one seems to be dragging on for a while now.
First, Aamir, along with girlfriend Sanjeeda, stopped hosting Nach Baliye 4. Then there were rumours that they were shown the door.... and if that wasn't enough there were reports that Aamir asked Salman Khan to intervene on his behalf. Here's what Aamir had to say... According to reports, you asked Salman to intervene when you had trouble with the makers of Nach Baliye... I think it's just convenient to drag Salman's name in any controversy. In fact, I met him recently and he had no clue about the controversy. Why drag Salman into this? These reports are so contradictory. On the one hand they are saying that Sanjeeda and I were shown the door and on the other they say that we didn't show up. I think they should make up their minds. They made various allegations like we took too much time to shoot... but how can that be true? This show is about performances from the jodis, not about the hosts! Has it soured your feelings towards Nach Baliye? Not really. There are a few people who are trying to create trouble. Winning Nach Baliye was like winning the world cup for me. And more than anything, it's special because it brought Sanjeeda and me much closer. What's happening on the acting front? There are some offers... one of the scripts even has us together. Ideally I want to take a break now and visit a very good friend in Cape Town. I have been promising him the visit for many years. Hopefully, I can do that in January.
