The night sky was aglow with bright city lights. The pale crescent moon shone like a silver claw in the night sky. The stars gazed at earth unblinking. Yudi's car was approaching palace's gate.
Unconsciously, his mind always feared for her mom and her wellbeing. He rushed towards dinukaka and seeing his pale face shiver passed through yudi's spine. He felt something was terribly wrong and that was the reason he could not gather courage to ask dinukaka.
Seeing his worried face,
Dkaka: kunvarji aap aagaye……achhaa huva….jaayiye jaake BR ko mil lijiye….
Yudi( his voice tremble fearing worst): Dkaka, kyaa huva maa ko woh….woh…
Dkaka: chintaa ki koi baat nahi hain kunvarji……baat ye huyi ki pataa nahi kahaa se BRji ke kamare main……..ek saamp aa gayaa thaa
Hearing Dkaka's word, jaise yudi ke pairo ke niche se jami khisk gayi ho……
Yudi: kyaa? Lekin maa woh
Dkaka: nahi BR ji theek hain oonhe kuchh nahi huva woh sirf thodi dar gayi hain……
Yudi sigh for relief: hum abhi maa ke kamare main jaate hain…..
Yudi did not wait for a moment to hear the rest and rushed towards BR's room.
When saksh entered palace and heard about BR he was worried too but he could see his dad was troubled and there was something more to this tale.
Saksh: kyaa huva pitaaji aap bahut chintit lag rahe hain? BR ji theek to hain naa
Dkaka: beta hum BR ko leke chintit nahi hain…..hum rani ko leke chintit hain.
The moment saksh heard rani's name ooske mano mastic main ek ajib saa dar beth gayaa …..he did not understood but the felt that approaching Tufan was giving him warning sign.
Saksh: kyaa huva pitaji rani ko……
Dkaka: woh..Br ko saamp se bachaate huve saamp ne oose kaant liyaa………aur aur……….
Saksh was shaken hearing this dreadful news.

Saksh was devastated when dkaka told him that rani's life was in danger. Saksh was worried about yudi's state of mind. He thought the moment yudi would come to know about rani, yudi would be shattered.
Saksh: pitaaji…kisi naukar ko to bithaayaa hain naa rani ki dekhbhaal karne ke liye……
Dkaka: jab se rani ko saamp ne kaataa hain nikki ooske paas bethi hain..bahut paresaan hain who bhi ……..tum jaraa jaake dekho kahi kisi chij ki jaroorat naa ho oonhe…
Saksh understood that nikki must be worried about yudi's reaction.
Saksh: pitaaji hum abhi jaate hian. kyaa aap kunvarji ki beg oonke kamare main rakh denge?
Dakaka: theek hain beta.
Saksh rushed towards rani's room. He was in daze and many thoughts had shaken him entirely. He was worried for rani's safety. He was perturbed thinking about yudi's reaction and he was anxious for nikki too.
Yudi hurriedly reached to BR's room. When he saw his mother was sleeping peacefully he was relived. CR was about to leave BR's room.
Yudi:CR, maa ko kyaa huva?
CR: kunvar ……..sambhaaliye apne aapko didi theek hain…………chintaa ki koi vajah nahi hain…..
Yudi: dkaka ne hume bataaya ki maa ke kamare main saamp aa gayaa thaa…shukra hain oos saamp ne maa ko kuchh kiyaa nahi warnaa soch kar bhi hum dar jaate hain.
At very moment CR realised that yudi was unaware about rani's attempt to save BR's life. Few moment before actually she was cursing rani for saving BR's life. Cr was thinking that god had given golden chance to CR to get rid off BR but because of this stupid rani that golden chance had been ruined but suddenly CR realised that actually rani had created much more great chance to trap yudi who was stronger pawn than BR.
CR with fake sympathy : beta aap vyathit naa ho….aur hum bhi bhagvaan ke shukra gujaar hain ki didi ko kuchh nahi huva…..
Yudi: lekin ye sab huva kaise ?
CR: pataa nahi kisi ko nahi maaloom who saamp kahaa se aayaa….lekin doctor ne kahaa hain ki dar neki koibaat nahi hain BRji sirf ees vaakiye se dar gayi thee …..eesi wajaah se doctor ne oonhe nind kaa injection diyaa hain aur kahaa hain who kal tak theek ho jaayenge…..
Yudi: CRji pitaaji ko bataayaa ees bare main.
CR: ji kunvar RS abhi yahi the,,,,,,,,bahut paresaan the humne aur doctor ne oonhe samjaayaa ….phir bhi aap jaante hain naa didi main oonki jaan basti hain…….humne abhi oonhe yahaa se apne kamare main bhejaa.thoda aaraam karne ke liye…….aur RB bhi yahi thee didi ki sevaa main lagi huyi thee oonhe bhi humne abhi bhejaa aur hum bhi jaa rahe the ki aap aa gaye………kunvar aap bhi fresh ho jaayiye aur khaane ke table par milte hain ….aap didi ki chintaa mat kijiye hum kisi naukrani ko yaha bithaate hain
Yudi look around and thought why rani was not there to look after his mom and it was something strange.
Yudi: CR aap jaayiye hum thodi der ke liye maa ke paas bethnaa chaahte hain……

Yudi set next to his mom, he took his mom's hand in his hand he felt the warmth of his mom's affection for him.
Kaise woh dar gayaa thaa jab oosne sunaa ki ooski maa ke kamare main saamp thaa. Apni maa ko humesaa ke liye kho dene kaa dar jaise oose buri taraha se vichlit kar gayaa thaa lekin apni maa ko surkshit paa ke jaise ooski jaan main jaan aagayi thee.
However, when he looked carefully he felt that his mother's face was creased with sorrow. Why he felt that in her unconsciousness his mom was grieving for something. But second moment he felt that she must be still affected by that traumatised incident.
However, yudi was worried about BR but at same time he was wondering about rani's absence from BR's room. Yudi who was well aware by rani's caring and attentive nature, it was something odd for him that rani was not there.

He was reminiscing each and every moment he passed with rani. He was too absorbed in his thought that the time and place dissolved for him.
When saksh reached to rani's room, he saw nikki sitting in the one corner of sofa. Tears were rolling down her eyes and seeing her gloomy face saksh's heart also torn in pieces.
Nikki had suffered a lot in her young age but saksh had not seen nikki shattered like this. He felt sharp pain in his heart. He felt urge to take her in his arm and dissolve all her worries in his affectionate embrace.
"aaj paheli baar oose lag rahaa thaa ki woh ek ghenhu ke daane ki tarahaa chaki main pis rahaa hain. Oose laga ooske ek taraf ooskaa pyaar tha to dusri or ooskaa kartavya thaa aur bich main woh thaa aur chaki kaa haath krur samaaj ne pakad rakhaa thaa.

Seeing saksh there nikki could not control herself. First time she lost control over herself and rushed towards saksh. She also felt to bury herself in saksh's strong arms. She held saksh's hand and her desperation was clearly written on her face.
Nikki(trembling): saksh…rani….rani ko…..
Tears rolling down her eyes and she was sobbing. She felt tight knot in her throat and her words were not coming out.
Saksh could not stop himself, he wiped her tears.
Saksh: nikkiji …….aap chintaa mat kijiye rani ko kuchh nahi hoga…woh jald theek ho jaayegi.
Nikki: lekin bhaiya……
Suddenly she realised whether her brother knew about rani or not.
Nikki: saksh…….bhaiya ko maaloom hain rani ke saath kyaa huvaa.
Saksh: nahi abhi tak to nahi maloom hain woh puri baat sune bina BRji ko milne ke liye chale gaye
Nikki: saksh …jab bhaiya ko pataa chalegaa woh apne aap ko rok nahi paayenge.saksh kuchh bhi kijiye humaare bhaiya ko sambhaal lijiye……saksh agar rani ko kuchh ho gaya to woh ji nahi paayenge……..hume bahut dar lag rahaa hain saksh …….hum jaante hain apne pyaar se bichhad kar jinaa kitnaa mushkil hain saksh ……hum nahi chaahte humaare bhaiya ke saath bhi aisaa hi ho jaisa humaare saath huva hain …….saksh ….humaare………
Suddenly nikki realised that in her desperation she told those words that she had buried long ago. She never let anybody know about her suffering but today those words slipped from her mouth. She was looking at saskh in disbelief. Saksh now realised why nikki was looking shattered.
Longingly he was staring at nikki but the moment nikki realised her surrounding she pulled back herself. She wiped her tears and went near rani who was sleeping under medications influence.
Saksh realising the situation tried to change topic.
Saksh: doctor ne kyaa kahaa kab tak theek ho jaayengi rani
Nikki: doctor kaa kahenaa hain ki waise to koi khatraa nahi hain lekin 24 ghante tak kuchh nahi kah sakte……kyunki kayi baar kuchh ghante ke baad zaher ki aad asar shuru ho sakti hain……
Saksh: lekin zahar to nikaal diyaa hain naa?
Nikki: haa lekin kayi baar kuchh asar rah jaataa hain…ooskaa pataa kuchh ghante baad hi chaltaa hain….
Saksh: aap chintaa mat kijiye kuchh bhi jaroorat ho to hume bataa dijiy aur aap jaake aaraam kijiye hum kisi naukar ko yahaa bhej dete hain……..aur kunvarji ki chintaa mat kijiye hum oonse baat karte hain……..agar kisi aur se pataa chalaa to woh…oos waqt apne aap ko sambhaal nahi paayenge. Ees se pahele ki oonhe kisi aur se pataa chale hume jaake oonhe bataa naa padegaa…..
Nikki desperately looked at her, her gratitude and deep feelings were clearly visible in her eyes.
Nikki: saksh….hume aap par pura bharosaa hain…….hum thodi der rani ke paas beth te hain….oose ees waqt humaari jaroorat hain aap bhaiya ke paas jayiye………
Yudi who was lost in his thought, his trance broke when he heard somebody entered the room.
First he thought that rani might have come but when he saw gauri there, he was dispappointed.
Gauri: kunvarji aapko khaane ke table par bulaayaa hain sab log aapkaa intzaar kar rahe hain
Yudi: theek hain…
When gauri sensed yudi's hesitancy to leave BR alone in her room she told him.
Gauri: hum BRji ke pass bethte hain….
Yudi wanted to ask about rani but he thought it would not be appropriate to inquire about her. he was feeling weird that at time of need rani was not with his mother and that was something not rani's nature.
Yudi left BR's room in cofusion, on his way he met with saksh who looked very troubled.
Saksh: hum aapke pass hi aa rahe the kinvarji….
Yudi cast curious glanced : saksh kyaa baat hain aap paresaan lag rahe hain sab theek to hain.
Saksh's voice quivering: kunvarji ….woh…hum aap ko ek bahut jaroori baat karnaa chaahte hain…..
Yudi sensed anxiety in saksh's voice.
Yudi: kahiye saksh aisi kaun si baat hain…ap bahut hi vyathit lag rahe hain……
Saksh: woh ….raniji …..
Yudi: han rani….hum bhi uljan main hain rani kahi nazar nahi aa rahi hain……..jis samay oonko maa ke paas honaa chahiye woh…pataa nahi kahaa hain…..
Saksh: kunvarji….rani ko rani ko
But before he could finish his sentence, CR who saw yudi and saksh talking she realised that saksh is about to spill beans. CR did not want that yudi come to know about rani's ill health right now. She wanted to let the cat out of bag when the time was right. With her evil intention she intrupted saksh before he could inform yudi.
CR: kunvar aap abhi tak yahi hain…hum sab aap kaa intzaar kar rahe hain…aap chaliye….
Yudi looked at saksh and he understood saksh wanted to share something very important.
Yudi: ji chhoti maa hum aate hain……
Saksh looked at CR
Saksh: kunvarji aap jaayiye hum baad main baat karte hain….
Yudi went away from there and realising saksh would try to save his friend CR diceded to send him away.
CR: saksh aap doctor ke yahaa jaayiye…..kuchh davaayiyaa laani hain …woh….le aayiye
Dejected and with heavy heart saksh went to collect medicine from dispensary.
While walking towards dining hall yudi was thinking about what saksh wanted to tell him. yudi felt that saksh wanted to share something important with him. when he reached to dining hall everybody was waiting for him.
RS: kunvar…..lagtaa hain aap BR se mil kar aa rahe hain?
Yudi (while sitting on his chair): ji pitaji hum maa ke paas se hi aa rahe hain.
RS: ab kaisi hain woh? Woh neend se oothi?
Yudi: nahi pitaaji abhi tak woh so rahi hain lagtaa hain woh aaraam karengi to jaladi theek ho jaayengi
CR(intrupted their talk and she thought before this talk take turn in other direction she thought to turn it in the direction that could benifite her):….ha yahi baat hum RB ko samjaa rahe hain kab se.
RB was puzzled when CR mensioned her name but the point she understood was, that CR had some plan under her sleeves and RB had to just nod her head. RB just wore the facial expression of being sad and worried.
RS: kyun kyaa huva RB ko?
CR: abhi thodi der pahele oonke pitaaji kaa phone aayaa thaa aur woh kah rahe the ki RB ki mataaji ki tabiyet theek nahi hain aur woh chaahti hain ki RB jaldi se oonke paas aa jaaye.
RS: to oosme dikakt kyaa hain? Aur sambdhanji ko achaanak kyaa huvaa? Kuchh chintaa karne waali baat to nahi hain naa?
CR: nahi RS itni chintaa waali baat nahi hain sirf thodi si nadurasti hain badlte mausam ke kaaran…..lekin aise main har maa chahti hain ki oonki santaan oonke paas ho……..lekin RB jid karke bethi hain.
CR looked at confused RB and RB was amused by this new plan and was worried also whether her mom was really sick or CR was just spreading new game plan.
RS: kyun kyaa baat hain RB ?
RB(stutter because she did not understood what she was supposed to say): ji who…ji…
CR understood and took situation inher hand because she did not want that RB blurt out anything that could ruin her planning.
CR: hum bataa te hain aapko……..aur phir aap hi samjaayiye RB ko.
All the while yudi was listening their conversation carefully and wishing that RB just go back to her palace at least he would feel relax. RB's presence was making him uncomfortable. Spending time with RB was like torture for him and feeling of betrayal towards rani kept bothering him. However, he was always with rani mentally but he did not want to spend single moment with RB.
CR: RB kaa kahenaa hain ki BR ko aisi haalaat main chhod kar woh nahi jaayegi..kaheti hain jab tak BR theek nahi ho jaati who yaha se nahi jaayegi……..
RS: lekin BR ab theek hain aur oon ke paas hum sab hain…..oonki dekhbhaal karne ke liye
CR: yahi to hum kab se samjaa rahe hain RB ko. Ab aap hi kuchh kahi ye oonhe…shaayad aapki baat maan jaaye…
RS: RB hum aapki bhaavnaa ki kadar karte hain aur hume khushi bhi hain ki aapko BR ki itni chinta hain lekin ees waqt aapki maataaji ko aapki jaroorat hain…..oonke prati aapkaa jo kartvyaa hain woh bhi aapko nahi bhool naa chahiye…..
RB(very politely): theek hain pitaaji jaisi aap sabki marzi…
CR: hum chaahte hain aap kal subahaa BR ko mil kar chali jaayiyegaa taaki aapke bhi dil ko tasalli rahe….aur kunvar….
Yudi: ji chhoti maa…
CR: kal aap RB ko oonke mahel chhod aayiyegaa…..ees bahaane aap oonki maataaji se bhi mil lijiyegaa aur humaari aur se bhi oonki khabar antar puchh lijiyegaa
Yudi was least interested to go with RB but than he thought if in that way this musibat was going away from here than he should go and drop this musibat to her place.
Yudi: ji chhoti maa jaisi aap ki aagnyaa…
CR was contented that the first part of her plan was successful now she had to continue towards the second and more important part of her trap. She was looking for the clue to start talk about BR and that snake, and she wanted to reveal by any mean to yudi that rani's life was in danger. She was aware that the moment yudi would come to know about rani's illness yudi would be devastated. She was desperate to see yudi's misery and agitation. That time she felt god was in her favour because she did not have to do anything yudi himself asked about that snake.
Yudi: are in sab baato main hum ye puchh naa to bhul hi gaye ki saamp aayaa kahaa se?
Bhanu who was near dining table was scared and worried, she felt if anyone get any clue about it she might be in grave trouble.
CR: ye baat to kisi ko nahi maloom kunvar…pataa nahi saamp achaanak mahal main aayaa kaha se?
Yudi: aur chhoti maa woh saamp kahi abhi bhi mahal main to kahi chhipaa nahi hain naa?
CR: nahi kunvar humne naukaro se pure mahal main talaash karvaa ke oos saamp ko sapere se pakdvaa diyaa hain. Ab chintaa ki koi baat nahi hain…
Yudi: shukra hain…..oos saamp ne maa ko kuchh kiyaa nahi . warnaa agar woh maa ko dash letaa to? Hum to soch kar bhi dar jaate hain……….
CR felt that now this talk was taking turn in her favour and she had to broke this news slowly that would increase yudi's anxiety and his desperation to know matter seems very intense. It would create suspicions in RS mind.
CR: haan kunvar baat to aapne sahi kahi …..shukra hain oos naukraani kaa…….(purposely she paused on that word to see yudi's reaction and she was right the moment yudi heard that sentence he seemed shocked. Yudi gave confused glance to CR)
jaise hi yudi ne ye sunaa oose lagaa jaise ooske pero ke niche ki jami hil rahi ho.
Yudi: kyaa huva CR? Kis naukraani ki baat kar rahi hain aap….aur kyaa kiyaa oosne?
CR: chhodiye ab in sab baato ko kunvar kham khaa aap paresaan ho jaayenge
However, yudi felt that something was terribly wrong and he was unaware about something and he had to know that otherwise he would not sit in peace.
Yudi: nahi chhoti maa hum jaan naa chahte hain….bataayiye kyaa huva?
CR: woh baat ye huyi ki jab woh saamp didi ko dash ne hi waalaa thaa tab woh naukrani ………….ne oos saamp ko apne haatho se dhakaa maar ke hataa liyaa……
Ye baat sun kar yudi kaa dil jor jor se dhadkane lagaa. Ooskaa dil kah rahaa thaa ki CR rani ke bare main hi baat kar rahi hain kyunki aisa saahas walaa kaam sirf wohi kar sakti hain lekin…..doosari aur ooskaa dimaag dalil kar rahaa thaa ki nahi shaayad woh rani naa bhi ho…..lekin phir jaise ek tis si oothi ooske dil main ki kahi rani ko……oosne apni soch ko wahi rok liyaa…..
CR(continued): lekin…..eesi waqt…oos saamp ne…..
Beads of perspiration form on his forhead and he felt his hand was shivering. He tried to compose himself because his heart was beating very fast and his head was spinning.
Yudi: chhoti maa aap saaf saaf bataayiye kyaa huva….oos saamp ne kyaa kiyaa?
CR: oos saamp ko hataa te waqt oos jaherile saamp ne oos naukraani ko dash liyaa……….
Yudi (shiver passed through his spine he felt his heart would jump out of his chest but still he was thinking may be CR was talking about somebody else. He was on denial that rani was the one): aap kis naukrani ki baat kar rahi hain chhoti maa?
RS: kunvar aap kyun itnaa paresaan ho rahe hain…..?
Yudi had lost his composer and he was desperate to know who that person was.
Yudi: pitaji hum jaan naa chahte hain kisne maa ki jaan bachaayi…..
He was feeling lumps in his throat. His mind was not able to think coherently but he managed to put words properly because it was important for him to know about that person.
CR: wohi ladki jo didi ki dekhbhal karti hain.....wohi …rani……
Jaise andheraa saa chha gayaa yudi ke aankho ke saamne..oose lagaa jaise ooske saamne ooski duniyaa tabaah ho rahi ho.rani jo ooski jindagi hain woh aaj ees waqt apni jindagi se juj rahi thee. Ooske haath se chamach niche ghir gayi. Oose lagaa jaise ees ek naam ko le kar kisi ne oos ke pero ke tale se jami ko khiskaa liyaa ho. Ooski soch ooski samaj jaise ooskaa saath chhod chuki thee.
Jaise ret ke tile ko bahaa kar le jaane ke liye samandar ki ek lahar hi kaafi hoti hain aaj oosi prakaar yudi ko lagaa ki woh bah rahaa thaa……aur oose thaam ne waale haath oose kahi nazar nahi aa rahe the…dub raha thaa lekin woh ter ni ko koshish bhi nahi kar paa rahaa thaa.
Devastated and stunned he looked at CR frantically. He thought may be he was thinking about rani that's why he felt that CR took rani's name there must be some minunderstanding.
CR was delighted when she saw that ki ooska tir ek dam nishaane pe jaake bethaa thaa. She knew that now yudi would not able to stop himself, and in his impetuousness he would definitely try to meet rani.
CR: kunvar ….kyaa huvaa aap theek to hain?
RS gave him frowning glance but yudi was in daze to ralise any thing around him.
RS: kunvar….CR aap se kuchh puchh rani hain…aap kaa dhyaan kaha hain…..
With that strong voice yudi felt somebody pulled him out from his trance though he was unable to think clearly.
Yudi (anxiously): CR….woh theek to hain naa..
RS: aap kyun eetnaa vyathit ho rahe hain kunvar woh ek naukrani hi to hain….ye aapko shobha nahi detaa…..
Yudi: pitaji …woh chahe bhale aapke liye naukrani ho lekin humaare liye woh……….
