Hello all..this is my short story ..New Year Special..
KAUYA LE GAYA KAAN
2008,27th of March.
Aditya was waiting for Jai in Mumbai Airport..Jai is coming back from New York.After seven years,Jai is coming back to India,to his house and to his closed ones.This time really Jai is coming back.Adi was eagerly waiting to meet his brother-in-law.Jai is getting back his senses finally.Good for all..the Walia family and may be things can be better for Bani,Bani Walia ,Jai's wife.Poor girl..suffering with no reason ,there is nothing to say about her,none of her faults.She is not at all guilty.Suddenly Adi's mobile rang.
Adi--Hello..haa Bani..kyaa baat hai?
Bani--I will be late tonight..can't help it..emergency hai..
Adi--Yes Bani..finish your task..then come to house..Jai's flight will land within 15 minutes..
Bani--Okay..actually ghar me phone kar rahi thi..line nahi mil raha hai..aap bata dena..
Adi--Okay..
Bani--And congrats..Anu ne operation kia hai aaj..she has done a brilliant job..Senior Doctors are talking about her..keh rahe hain Dr. Anushka Bali is too good..main thi OT me.. maine observe kia..thodi si nervous thi..but she made it..I think House Staff ka duration
khatam hone k baad usko MS ki padhai hi karni chahie..Surgery me bahut achha karegi..
Adi--Bani..uski zimmedari tum par hai..Anu k lia mujhe fikar karne ki zaroorat nahi hai..I know ..she is safe under the guidence of Dr. Bani Walia.
Bani--Okay..Anu shaam ko ghar chali jaayegi..mujhe der hogi..you people carry on..
Adi--Okay ..bye..
Adi was thinking about Anu.Bani gave a proper direction to Anu's life..now she is also a Doctor like her Aunt,Bani.Jai is really unlucky who kept himself far away from Bani..seven years..seven long years.Adi really wonders that how Bani made up her mind after the big
shock when Jai left her and went to US.Memories...too much memories..
2001,24th January.
Jai got married with Bani.Jai was 35..and Bani was 21.Bani came from a deprived background,she lost her parents in a road accident..Nishikant Dixit ,Bani's father was a Superviser in a factory owned by Mr. Uday Walia.Jai was the only son of Uday.Uday brought Bani in Walia Mansion as she was all alone.Jai,who used to have affairs with girls, was in search of true love..no girl was seemed to be a true lover to him.He used to think all were gold diggers.Uday was fed up with his son's attitude and he was worried about the poor girl Bani.How long she could stay in Walia Mansion?People will talk about her...then what would Uday do?But Krishna was cooking something in her mind,she was thinking about Jai's marriage with Bani..Bani was a very nice girl,may be their age difference is of 14 years ,but so what?Bani will get a proper family..may Jai would find stabilty in his life because of Bani. Even Jigyasa was also impressed by Bani.Anu was concentrating on her studies due to Bani's constant concern.But Jigyasa gave a second thought about the marriage as she was very much aware of her brother's nature.She didn't want to be wasted an innocent girl's life just for her brother..she knew very well..that this marriage is not going to work.Jai was not at all Bani's cup of tea.But Jigyasa's intensions were interpreted in a wrong manner..every one misunderstood her.Uday threated Jai. Two options for Jai..Marry Bani or you will be debarred from the property and business.Jai said "YES".
In this melodrama Bani became very much confused.Uday and Krishna were very kind to her. Jigyasa and Aditya were also very good to her.She didn't want to go away from her new family.She agreed with a confused mind.She got married with Jai.

Jai was seated in the business class of the flight..he was thinking about Bani..he had done very wrong to her.
He left Walia House and India within one month after his marriage.But he had reason..a strong reason.His own health.He was told by the Doctor that he had a serious nervous disease.In that case how could he spoil Bani's life?Bani has every right to have her happiness which she would never get from Jai.Jai left her.Jai got so depressed that he never consulted a Doctor in New York.But he continued the medicines which he was prescribed by his previous Doctor. But things got worse day by day and Jai became more sick.Finally he consulted a Doctor in New York.And Jai has been referred to Dr.Girija Prasad Pathak who is currently in India,Dr. Pathak is going to be a Visiting Faculty in JJ Medical College in Mumbai and a Guest Doctor in Leelavati Hospital for the coming six months.Jai has been advised to meet Dr. Pathak immediatly.And as per Adi 's information,Bani left Walia house,Jai can go back to his house. Adi told him that Bani fell in love with another guy..Jai became so happy that Bani finally got her happiness.She deserves much more than a sick husband like Jai.Jai saw Bani, the young girl full of life,he made up his mind to make the marriage successful but the night of his marriage he got the report from his Doctor.It was too late..the ceremony was done.
Jai landed on Mumbai Airport..Adi was waiting..Jai hugged him.
Jai--Kaise ho?
Adi--Fine...tu kaisa hai?
Jai--Zinda hoon..
Adi--Zinda?Arre ..Bani chali gayi hai..ab toh khush ho jaa..
Jai--Mazaak ki baat nahi hai Aditya..usko chhoda usike bhale k lia..ek bimaar admi k saath woh reh nahi paati thi..
Adi--Chal..ghar chal kar baat karte hain..
Jai--I am going to drive..
Jai was driving..Adi was cursing himself for telling such a lie to Jai that Bani left Walia House.It was the only way to make Jai return to India.Nobody knows about Jai's illness..Adi knows but not the details..Jai never told him.Suddenly their car collided with a scooter..Jai took the injured guy to the hospital..Adi went to inform his family and to manage with the Police.

Bani still can remember that night..her first night..with her husband and his words.She never understood that what was her fault.Jai left her.But thanks to Uday and Krishna ,they never blamed Bani.They were as good as they were in the earlier days.Bani was a student
of MBBS ..she was in her 3rd year.Uday encouraged her to continue her studies.Bani passed final exams of MBBS..and then she persued for Master of Surgery.Now she is Dr.Bani Walia.MBBS,MS.
Jigyasa used to shout at her after the leave of Jai.She always blamed that Bani was responsible for that.One day Bani lost her temper..and gave back to Jigyasa..then Jigyasa made herself clear to Bani.
Jigyasa--Main tumhare lia sochti hoon Bani..21 saal ki ho..Anu se zyada se zyada 4 saal badi ho..Anu me aur tum me main koi fark nahi karti..main yehi soch k ghabrati hoon ..k jaisa tumhare saath mere Bhai ne kia..waisa agar koi meri Anu k saath kare toh kyaa haal hoga..Bani..zindagi..puri zindagi padi hai tumhare saamne..main shuru se is shaadi k khilaaf thi..jaanti thi Jai aisa hi kuchh karega..Roshni se..matlab mera dost tha..Ranvijay.. Roshni ussiki bahen thi..Jai se uska rishta tha ..pure paanch saal chala yeh affair...jab Roshni ne shaadi ki baat ki..Jai ne saaf mana kar dia..fir kai aur ladkiaan aai..par Jai sudharne walon me se tha nahi..umar badhti gayi uski..
Bani--Main kyaa karoon?
Jigyasa--Tum kyaa soch kar shaadi k lia maan gayi Bani?Papa aur Maa..chaahe kitna bhi tumse pyaar kare..par zindagi toh tumko Jai k saath hi beetani thi..aur Jai hai aisa..aisa toh nahi..k tumhare paas aur koi raasta nahi tha..Medical student thi tum..shaadi kyon ki
tumne?
Bani--Papajee se main inkaar nahi kar paai..aur dono ne bahut ummeed k saath yeh baat
kahi..
Jigyasa--Bani..ab bhi waqt hai..is rishtey se khud ko azad kara lo..varna rone k ilava aur koi raasta nahi rahega..Jai ne zindagi barbad kar di tumhari..agar shaadi nahi karni thi.. toh mana kar deta..is tarha shaadi kar k..
Bani--Aap is tarha nahi soch sakti k main wahi ladki hoon..jo apne Maa Baap ko kho kar aai thi is ghar me..aap logon ki mohtaaj hoon..beech me jo hua..bhool nahi sakti aap?Soch nahi sakti k main sirf Anu ki ek dost hoon?
Jigyasa--Baat humari nahi hai..meri bhi baat nahi hai...main tumhari baat kar rahi hoon.. about your life..what about that Bani?You are young..you have your own desires too..is tarha..
Bani--I can wait..
Jigyasa--How long?
Bani--Really don't know..par please..aap yeh baat kisi aur se mat kehna..log yeh nahi dekhenge k aapne mera bhala socha..par yeh zaroor sochenge k aapne Jai aur mere rishtey par buri nazar daali hai..
Jigyasa--Ab kyaa karna chaahti ho?
Bani--Papajee se baat ho gayi hai..main fir se college jaa rahi hoon..ek maheene ka gap ho gaya tha..backlogs lene hai..
Jigyasa--Bani..ek baat hai..tumhari padhai khatam nahi hui hai..Doctor banne k baad tumko practise bhi karna hai..itna hi kehna chaahti hoon..k agar is beech koi aisa mil jaaye tumko.. jiske saath tum khush reh sako..mujhe batana..koi aur tumhare saath ho na ho.. mujhe apne saath humesha paaogi..
Bani--I promise..aisa hua..toh sab se pahle aapko bataoongi..
Jigyasa..too much rough from the outside..but she was also a mother of a daughter..if anyone would do such thing with Anu..what would the reaction of the whole family?The same family members are advising Bani to keep faith on her fate.Such a double standard. Jigyasa,surely was rude but only she said something justified.But Bani was not going to give up.She wanted to see the end,she wanted to see that how long Jai can avoid her.
"Dr.Walia.."
Bani came back to her present..she has duty in the Emergency Ward tonight.
Bani--Yes..
"Road accident..a 23 years old boy."
Bani--I am coming..do the needful preliminary steps..
"Yes Doctor."
Jai was sitting on the chair kept in corridore,the guy whom he brought is being taken care of by the Doctor.ACP Patel was talking with Dr.Walia..he needs the statement of the injured person.Aditya informed his family and went to the Advocate's Chamber to be in the safe side..just to make an arrangement for an Anticipatory Bail for Jai.
Patel--What is his condition Doctor?
Dr.Walia--Nothing much.. no serious injury ..just minor scratches..he is fine..
ACP got the statement
I was coming from the wrong side Sir.The driver of the car has no fault.Actually I was in hurry.Please do not harras him..he brought me in the hospital.
ACP Patel did the other formalities and left.
Jai--Excuse me Doctor..
Dr.Walia--Yes..
Jai--Actually..I want to pay each and every penny for the treatment of the chap..I mean I have already paid the initial bills..but I want to pay the rest also..
Dr.Walia--That is between you and his family..you can talk to them..there his father..you go and convince him..I have to attend my other patients.
Jai--Thank you very much..Excuse me..one more thing..
Dr.Walia--Yes..
Jai--Dr.Girija Prasad Pathak..now a days..he is here..
Dr.Walia--Yes..
Jai--I want to meet him..when can I get him?Actually I am referred to him by Dr.Daniel Heinz.
Dr.Walia--Dr. Pathak will come on 29th March..9 am sharp..you just take an appointment..
Jai--Thank you..
Dr.Walia--Welcome..
Dr.Walia left for her other patients to be attended.Jai made all arrangements for the injured boy when Aditya came to the hospital and heard that everything is fine now.
Adi--Let's go..
Jai--Yes..

Walia House was eagerly waiting for Jai..Jai touched his parents' feet and hugged his sister Jigyasa and Ranveer,his nephew.Anu just came back to Walia House as her duty time was over.
Jai--Anu..is that you?
Anu--No..it's not Anu..it's Dr.Anushka Bali..House Surgeon in Leelavati Hospital,Mumbai.
Jai--Can't believe it..my little Anu is now a Doctor..ohh my goodness...
Anu--Things have been changed Mamajee..you have to accept them..
Krishna--Okay..let's have dinner..it's late now..
Jai went to his room to change..
Krishna--Adi..Beta..Bani kaha hai?
Adi--Emergency duty hai Maa..uski..kal subha aayegi..waise bhi mujhe darr lag raha hai..k maine Jai se jhoot bola..k Bani ghar chhod kar jaa chuki hai,ab pata nahi Jai kyaa karega..
Krishna--Bani samhaal legi..
Jigyasa--Hope so..agar is baar kuchh nahi hua..toh Jai Bani ko sharafat se talak de..aur aaplog please..Bani ko rokiyega mat..uski zindagi kyon barbad karte hain?
Krishna--Dekhenge...waise..kamre se Bani ki tasveeren hata die hain na..aur uska saamaan?
Adi--Jee..

Jai woke up from his sound sleep at 8 in the morning..Tony informed him that everyone is waiting for him for breakfast.Jai went for bath..got ready and came downstairs for breakfast.Everyone was having breakfast..Anu was consulting something very serious with her brother Ranveer.Suddenly Jai looked up..and he saw the same Doctor whom he met last evening.She was carrying her stetho and medical kit and had a really tired look.Jai stood up.. "Arre Dr.Walia..aap yeha kaise aai?"
Dr.Walia--Apni car se..raaste me tyre puncture hua tha issi lia der hui..
Jai asked Krishna, "Maa..ghar me kaun bimaar hai?"
Krishna--Koi bhi nahi..
Jai--Toh fir yeh Dr.Walia..main kal inse hospital me mila..
Uday--Main batata hoon...yeh Dr.Walia hain..inka pura naam pata hai?
Jai--Kyaa?
Uday--Dr.Bani Walia..aapki Dharampatni..
Jai--Par yeh Doctor kaise ban gayi?
Uday--Jis tarha doosre log bante hain?Medical entrance dekar..padhai kar k..usi tarha..
Jai--Par woh toh college student thi...
Bani--Yes..college student..ab Doctor banne k lia toh Medical college me padhna padta hai..hai na?Main bhi Medical student hi thi..tab main third year me thi..any more questions?
Jai--Kal kyon nahi bataya?
Bani--I expected,k aap khud mujhe pehchaan lenge..aur waise bhi mujhe bahut kaam tha..
Jai--Fir bhi..
Bani just ignored him and said to Krishna, "Mom..main abhi nashta kar loon?Bahut bhookh lagi hai..main lunch se pahle naha loongi..abhi main bahut tired hoon..sona chaahti hoon.."
Krishna--Haan ..tum nashta karo...
Jai gave a killer glance at Aditya , "You lied to me that she left.."
Bani--Yes..varna aap waapas nahi aate..so..I didn't left..what will you do?You will leave again?Please ,be my guest..go wherever you want..darwaza udhar hai..subha subha dimaag kharab kar dia..Mom...mujhe paratha chahie..
Krishna--Haan..Tooooooonnnnnnnnyyyyyyyy..jaldi se garam paratha laao..
Jai was completely shocked and he got another shock when he saw the sleeping Bani on the bed where he slept last night..Adi knocked ...Jai came outside..
Adi--So..kaha jaana chaahega?
Jai--Matlab?
Adi--Nahi..Bani is ghar me hogi..toh tu nahi rahega..toh kaha jaana chaahta hai..?
Jai--Please Aditya..give me a break..
Bani made an arrangement for Night Shifts for the whole month..as Jai became uneasy to share the bed with her at night.Bani began to spend nights at hospital.

Jai met Dr. Pathak..he prescribed him some tests..after getting the test results he met Bani..
Bani--Yes Sir..
Pathak--Your husband..Jai Walia..you told me abouth him..he is completely fine..he has no disease..
Bani--But the reports..showed by him to you?What were those?
Pathak--See the latest reports..his all illussions..hallucinations..all headaches..are due to intaking some banned drugs..rather some banned medicines..for the normal people..
Bani--What do you mean?
Pathak--The medicines he had intaken..are usually applied to those people who got furious due to their mental illness..he had taken them..and all his nervous problems began..tests are showing that from last 8 years almost..he is intaking them..his blood reports are clearly showing them..you can do one thing..just find out medicines he takes..stop him to take them..and I can assure you..that he will be totally fine..I wonder..Daniel..my dear Daniel has referred him to me..why?

Pathak--Beta..actually..he can be an interesting topic of Neuropsychology case books..I mean..ek Doctor se pata chala..k Nerve ki bimaari hai..toh doosra Doctor dikhaate..tumko pata hai..k tumhare Pati ne jo reports dikhaaye the Daniel ko..unme kyaa likha tha?
Bani--Kyaa?
Pathak--That Jai Walia is having a killer disease named LIMPHOSCURCHOMA OF THE
INTESTINE..
Bani--Whatttttttttttt?
Pathak--Yes..aur tab se yehi baat Jai sach maan kar baitha hai..
Bani--Okay...thank you Sir..aapko pata nahi k aapne kitna bada upkaar kia hai mera..
Suddenly Pathak's mobile rang..Pathak said ,"Helloo..ooh..Daniel..how are you..yes..Jai's wife is here...she is also a Doctor..you want to talk with her...sure..Bani..Dainel wants to talk to you..."
Bani--Yes Dr.Heinz..tell me..such a big misconception..
Heinz--I know Mrs...sorry Dr. Walia..when I met him for the first time..he showed me all reports..and he also told me that..he had left you..he had hurt you a lot just ,he just wanted to see you happy..as he had a serious disease of nerve..he didn't wanted you to cry for him..all he wanted that your happiness and good life..then I checked him and all his report..I could also treat him..but I wanted him to go back to his country..to his closed ones..so I referred him to Dr.Pathak...but tell me Dr.Walia..you never understood anything?
Bani--Actually..when he left me I was a student of MBBS..studying in third year..and he never told me about everything..he just left me and his family..and his house...before the problem could be solved..he just left..like a tragic hero of the hindi masala movie..
Heinz--Ohh..hindi movie..I like them very much..but I tell you..your husband is a very good subject for the students of psychology..
Dr.Bani Walia and Dr.Daniel Heinz had a long conversation..
Bani left for Walia House..he saw Jai sitting in the garden..with a pale face..Bani just rushed into the bedroom and locked it..and started to laugh..my goodness..this is horrible.. Jai left her..to make her happy..!!!If he would say once to her..she might be consult this matter with the Professors of her Medical College..but Jai Walia..the great Jai Walia..just left..Suddenly Bani began to search Jai's medicines and the prescriptions..and she finally got them..the medicines are prescribed by a Doctor..named..Dr.Sudhir Nagpal..and all the medicines are strictly prohibited for normal headache or stress..yet they were prescribed.. but Dr. Sudhir Nagpal..Bani had heard this name several times..wait..oohhoo...this man..he is a fraud...yes..he is now behind the bars..yes..almost 5 years ago Police caught him red handed.And she has girlfriend too..who was his partner in this job..yes..
Bani dialled the number of ACP Patel.."I want a copy of Dr.Sudhir Nagpal case file..please do me this favour." Another thing was found by Bani..a diary..Jai's diary..Bani couldn't resist herself from reading it..

Jai was completely broken when he found all the facts that took place after his leaving the Walia Mansion.Bani was shattered..all the family members were sad.But one thing made Jai happy that Bani made her own identity..he had seen in the hospital that Bani is very much respected by the Fellow Doctors and other staffs.And Anu got Bani's proper guidence..thanks a lot Bani.
Uday was very upset..Aditya tried to make him come down..but Uday is still angry with Jai.. It's almost two months after Jai came back to India..but Uday is still upset..for Bani..the innocent girl had suffered a lot.Uday doesn't know that on which way Bani's life..Bani is 28 now..and Jai is 42..Uday had always a dream about Jai's children..but now..is it too late?Bani seems to be not going away from Walia House..she loves all the members of the house..but does she love Jai?Will she ever be able to love and respect Jai ..after what he had done?
Adi--Dad..come down..don't blame Jai..he had also suffered..in fact he is still suffering.. shaadi k raat hi usko apni bimaari k baare me pata chala..Bani ki zindagi kharab naa ho..isi lia woh chala gaya..
Anu just arrived to check Uday's blood pressure..
Anu--What are you saying Dad?Mamajee is ill?
Adi--Yes Beta..serious nerve problem..
Anu--What..I mean what disease..?
Adi--I really don't know..
Jai was going upstairs..Uday called.. "JAAIIIIIIIII.."
Jai came to Uday.. "Yes Dad.."
Uday--Tumne kyaa socha?Hum log toot jaayenge?Kyon nahi bataya tumne k tum bimaar ho..agar bataate..toh ilaaj karaate tumhara ..bina bataaye tum chale gaye..hum tumse naraz ho kar baith gaye..Bani k baare me tumne nahi socha?
Jai--Usike lia toh gaya Dad..she was too young..uske saamne puri zindagi padi thi..
Anu--Mamajee..mujhse kahiye..ho sakta hai..main kuchh madad kar doon..
Jai--8 saal pahle ki baat hai..I was in a party..with Nisha..
Adi--Wahi Nisha..jo tumhari girl friend thi?
Jai--Haan..us waqt main bahut zyada tension me tha..business ki haalat kuchh khaas stable nahi thi..I was stressed out..Nisha mujhe Doctor k paas le gayi..unke di hui davai se main theek hone laga..par sirf stress wajah nahi thi..mere haalat ki..koi aur bimaari thi..mere sar me humesha dard rehta tha..and other hallucinations..humesha ek nasha sa..jab k tab main drink bhi naa k barabar karta tha..Doctor ne mera test lia..aur yehi pata chala..mujhe serious nerve problem hai..main issi lia shaadi nahi kar raha tha..Nisha se bhi keh dia kisi aur se shaadi kar le..jab Bani se baat tai hui..tab main theek tha..par shaadi hone k toorant baad mujhe pata chala..mujhe woh reports mile..k mujhe bahut khatarnak bimaari hai..is bimaari me dimaag kaam nahi karta..
Krishna aur Jigyasa had also come ..
Krishna--Beta..ek baar hum se nahi bol sakta tha?
Jai--Kai dino se meri haalat bahut kharab ho rahi thi..maine waha k Doctor ko dikhaya..aur unhone ek Doctor ko refer kia..jo aaj kal Mumbai me hain..main issi lia aaya hoon.. India.. mujhe issi baat ka afsos hai..k maine Bani ko hurt kia..par jo bhi kia..ussike bhale k lia kia.
Anu--Par Mamajee...bimaari ka koi naam toh hoga..
Jai--LIMPHOSCURCHOMA OF THE INTESTINE..very dangerous nervous problem..
Anu--Mamajee..had you lost it?Yeh koi nerve ki bimaari nahi..Mamajee..INTESTINE..pet me hota hai..Digestive System ka hissa hai..Nervous system se iska koi lena dena nahi..aap kyaa bol rahe hain..?
Adi--Anu..
Anu--I am saying the right thing Dad..yeh bimaari..Mamajee..aapko kissi ne bahut bada chuna lagaya hai..mujhe shuru se shak ho raha tha..Mamajee..kisi ne aapko Mamu bana dia..hey bhagwan..
Everyone sat down..they were shocked..shattered..just a small misunderstanding..and Jai was seperated from his family,from Bani..for seven years..seven long years..All are waiting for Bani..she will come at 9 pm..
Bani entered..and Anu ran to her.. "MAAAMMMIIIIIII.."
Bani--Anu..is everyone here?I have an announcement to do..
Anu--What announcement..?
Bani--I am leaving this house..and taking divorce from your Mamajee..
Everyone was shocked...Bani is saying about divorce!!!NOOO..
Bani--Why not?
Krishna--Beta..ghalatfaimi thi ..ab mit gayi hai..ab kyon jaana chaahti ho?
Adi--Bani..us Doctor ne ghalat report dia..
Bani--Dr. Sudhir Nagpal..yehi naam tha na?And Mr. Jai Walia..ek baar is ladki ko
dekhenge aap?Jaante hain inko..?
Jai took a look and said.. "She is Nisha..my Ex-Girlfriend"..
Bani--She is the partner of the fraud ..named Sudhir Nagpal..her actual name is Dia.Sudhir k saath mil kar sab ko ullu banaati thi..and aapne fees k taur par kitne paise die the..zara bataayenge?
