Anupamaa: Anu gets blamed left, right and center for ruining Leela's birthday celebration

Tonight's Anupamaa episode starts with Digvijay trying to lighten Anupama’s mood by singing for her in front of everyone. His gesture leaves both the Shah and Kothari families surprised. Anupama thanks him for cheering her up. Meanwhile, one of the women present at the celebration comments that Anupama and Digvijay look perfect together. She praises Digvijay for the way he gave attention to Anupama and says she wishes her own husband treated her with the same care and affection.

Digvijay immediately clarifies that he and Anupama are not in a relationship. However, the woman continues to question their bond and claims that a man and woman can never remain “just friends.” Anupama firmly stands by her friendship with Digvijay and explains that pure friendships do exist. She gives the example of Lord Krishna and Draupadi’s bond to explain her point. The woman objects to Anupama bringing Lord Krishna into the discussion, but Anupama says that Krishna has always symbolized protection and support. Despite Anupama trying to explain herself calmly, the woman refuses to understand and keeps targeting her character.

The atmosphere at Leela’s birthday celebration turns tense. The woman decides to walk out of the party, and some of Hasmuk’s friends also leave with her. Anupama requests them not to spoil Leela’s special day, but they ignore her and leave. Feeling guilty about the situation, Anupama apologizes to Leela and says the entire environment has become unpleasant because of the argument.

Leela loses her temper and blames Anupama for ruining her birthday celebration. Vasundhara also joins in and questions Anupama’s closeness with Digvijay. Anupama requests Vasundhara to stop creating more drama at least until the birthday function is over, but Leela continues lashing out at her.

Hasmuk supports Anupama and refuses to believe the accusations against her. Ansh and Banku also defend Anupama and Digvijay’s friendship, saying there is nothing wrong with their bond. Leela, however, says Hasmuk can never see Anupama at fault no matter what happens.

Pakhi and Paritosh then corner Anupama and accuse her of repeatedly bringing embarrassment to the family. Anupama tries to defend herself, but Shruti steps in and taunts her. Shruti says because of Anupama’s actions, Rahi will now have to suffer. She sarcastically remarks that Anupama has replaced Anuj with Digvijay.

Shruti further says that Indian society never accepts a man and woman staying together without raising questions. She reminds everyone that when Anuj stayed with her in America, nobody judged him the way they are judging Anupama now. Hearing this, Anupama proudly says she respects Indian values and asks Shruti not to drag Anuj’s name into the discussion unnecessarily.

Anupama then reveals an important truth to everyone. She says Anuj had already met Digvijay in the United States and had even invested in Saavi’s café project. She explains that she is only trying to complete Anuj’s dream. Rahi, however, refuses to believe her and tells Anupama to stop hiding behind Anuj’s name. She directly questions Digvijay and asks why he is using Anupama for his café business. Anupama once again tries to defend Digvijay’s intentions.

At the same time, Vasundhara quietly tells Gautam that Rahi resembles her mother in many ways, but she likes seeing Rahi oppose Anupama. The tension in the family continues to rise.

Rahi then crosses all limits and insults Anupama harshly. Digvijay loses his patience and tells Rahi that she should not disrespect her own mother. He also exposes the truth about Shruti and Anuj’s relationship. Digvijay clearly states that Anuj never gave Shruti false hopes and never tried to replace Anupama with another woman. Shruti is left stunned after hearing this truth in front of everyone.

Disgusted by the family’s mindset, Digvijay says their thinking is extremely narrow-minded. Leela retaliates by asking him why he wants to open his café near their house if he dislikes them so much.

Prem then enters the argument and accuses Anupama of being jealous of his success. He claims Anupama intentionally got his license canceled and is now starting another café to prove herself superior to him. Shocked by the accusation, Anupama reminds Prem that the inspection decision was not hers alone, as two male officers were also present during the process. But Prem refuses to listen and continues blaming her for being insecure of him. Anupama stands speechless after hearing his harsh allegations.

In the precap, the situation turns even uglier. Rahi tells Anupama that she always finds a new man in her life despite claiming she needs nobody’s support. She cruelly says Digvijay will not be the last man connected to her. Digvijay gets angry and warns Rahi to speak respectfully with Anupama. Rahi then questions why Digvijay is getting so affected when she is talking to her own mother. Unable to tolerate the disrespect anymore, Anupama slaps Rahi. Deeply hurt, Anupama says she feels ashamed that Rahi has forgotten Anuj’s values and upbringing. In an emotional moment, Anupama declares that she is not a bad mother — instead, Rahi has become a bad daughter.
