Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor is currently basking in critical acclaim for her role in "Daadi Ki Shaadi." The film, which also features Kapil Sharma, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and Sadia Khateeb, premiered in theaters on May 8th and has been met with a favorable reception from audiences. During a recent promotional event for the film, Neetu Kapoor spoke openly about her granddaughter, Raha Kapoor. The actress also commended Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor for their parenting approach with their daughter.

On Soha Ali Khan's podcast, Neetu Kapoor shared insights into Raha Kapoor's relationship with her parents, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. "Raha listens to Alia and she is a great mother, but Ranbir is like a friend to her," Neetu stated. "He does all the fun and masti with her, but she is very scared of her mother because Alia is a disciplinarian." Neetu Kapoor further lauded Alia Bhatt's parenting, emphasizing her dedication to teaching Raha valuable principles, such as limiting screen time and avoiding unnecessary distractions.

She also shared that she and Alia often have lighthearted disagreements about spoiling Raha. She added, “I am always fighting with her, saying, ‘Alia, at least let me give her one chocolate.’ But she says, ‘No, can’t you understand sugar is not good for her?’ I tell her, ‘It’s okay, I am the grandmother, let me spoil her.’"

Neetu Kapoor believes that children often feel closer to their maternal grandmothers because mothers tend to speak more about their own moms, naturally strengthening that connection. However, she feels lucky that her family lives together, which has allowed her to build a strong bond with Raha, who lovingly calls her "Dida."
