why rahman's music over the past few years has not succeeded to create historical music what he gave before....the fact is true...that his music becomes commercial success but not so impactful and historical like his previous films like...Roja, Bombay, Rangeela, Priyanka, Hindustani, Dil se, Taal etc...these albums r heard and loved even today...

but today his music doesnt seem to be having that quality...

if we take this year...his music was a success but wasnt an impact...like jodha akbar, yuvrajj, ghajini, jaane tu ya jaane na...all were loved but can be termed as forgettables....not historics...

what do u think???

exactly... this is wat i hav been saying also.... just becoz rahman is giving music doesnt mean he is giving gr88 music!! there hs been certain myth developed somehow that watever rahman gives hs to b the best , and forcefully it hs to b accepted as the best song...

actually every music director hs certain span and certain level of creativity after which that effectivity in creation vanishes! it is not rahmans fault bt it happened with every other music directors!

my fav music director and india's best RD burman also created crap music during the mid 80s and few yrs till he came back with 1942 a love story..

jatin-lalit ws considered to b the most melodious music director duo , bt wat happened after kuch kuch hota hai? very few good music in different movies..

creativity is like a stock ,it gets over .. rahman watever he created magic with " roja " bombay dil se taal , he is no more that music director today

i think his music is still good,but it has changed,due to the trend.He have to follow the new trends of music,otherwise he will be back in the music industry.Films likeLagaan,Dilse guru,rang de basanti,jodha akbar and Jaane to ya jaane na have really gud songs,that one can here again and again.

are you people on crack?! A.R. Rahman is a fantastic music director! All four of the albums he has released in Bollywood this year have been quite good!

yeah, just because its A.R music it doesn't mean its the best music. yuvraaj's music wasn't that good. i don't like his music anymore, and yuvraaj's music certainly didn't impress me.

I think A.R. Rahman is a genius

he is one of the best music directors ever

and he songs beautfil songs

his music is so full of expression, culture and talent

he is amazing

I hope he continues composing more and more albums

and I hope the west recognizes him more and more

People are biased towards AR Rehman just because he's ARR. I agree that he's given some amazing albums....but Guru surely wasn't last year's best album? He got the award for the same biasedness. Even TZP was a better album last year.

Same with this year. Yuvraaj was average. Ghajini might as well be below average. I mean...has anyone heard Aye Bachu and Lattoo? Sound like Pritam songs.

VS and SEL are my fav. right now. I think VS were amazing with BAH and Tashan albums.
