She did the most ' sensible ' thing to apologogize u said . Well , then wudnt it be the most ' sensible ' thing to simply walk away from the crowd of ruffians outside the temple with sticks instead of beeing foolishly heroic and trying to walk in at the cost of bloodshed ? I mean , seriously ............what were three women going to do with a crowd of uncouth men who wud perhaps have no finer sensibilities and wud even hit them with sticks ? And all this for what ? It was not just Saloni whose skull wud have cracked , but even Mannobhabhi or that poor woman wud have died . So why wasnt Saloni ' Sensible and practical ' now ...............like , as u said she gauged the situation and was with Laali Maasi ?
The answer is that Saloni bent before Laali not to protect her husband , and also not by being sensible or practical , but simply coz Laali was a relation and was elder in age . Infact , sensible behaviour and practical behaviour had totally left Saloni at that point . [ Her obsession for Advitya and her mindless immunity to Tara's horrendous insults was anything but sensible].
Also she justified to Nahar that ' perhaps laali was right about barren women , this has been the case for ages ' ...............a statement absolutely not befitting the lead heroine . Defeating Parbat Singh and men is far harder than sharply talking to an obnoxious elderly lady like Laali ................all it required was guts which she chose not to use as it was ' family ' .
And that leaves a message .........any wrong , so long as family does it , is forgivable . There is no such thing as self respect within family ..............that value only exists with outsiders . Laali and Tara insulted not just Saloni but barren women in general and Saloni shud have been shown standing up for this social cause , not weeping and catching feet of tyrants . It was disgusting .
They show Saloni waltzing in and out of other serials and giving speeches when the heroines there face serious problems . I feel they shud stop it as she herself allows people to trample over her under the mistaken concept of ' family values' . Till Saloni shows Tara her place , or Kaveri , when she next insults her character so cheaply , I wont even watch her speeches . Tara managed to insult infertile women this much only coz Saloni let her . It is her personal policy never to disagree with Tara simply coz she is Bhabhisa.
We all come from joint families [ i do ] and see many tiffs , disagreements , ups and downs . But i tell u , it is not necessary for a person to be this spineless in a joint family simply to keep it ' intact ' . Joint family doesnt break with such everyday quarrels . In fact , the joint family system is a perfect training ground for people to learn to survive in the bigger world even more smartly , as they get trained to adjust , share , live life with diffrent types of people and yet to hold their own and survive at any cost . And nowhere does it mean losing self respect ............it infact , toughens ! One learns to firmly say "NO' right in the beginning as otherwise things sit on ur head .
I bet u , after she finds her daughter , Saloni will start teaching her little daughter to take a backseat and give Advitya precedence . Everytime something occurs she will tell her daughter , let Advitya win . U keep quiet . This will be the new chapter in SP .
