I think we live in abad world. I am quite sick of seeing bad people getting ahead. Winning over and over again. They triumph over the good ones. But I still have some faith left in humanity. And a lots of faith in God.(alhamdulillah)

I don't know how cheaters live with themselves. My conscious always stops me...even from tiny things!

when you win, make up your own rules and the world will follow it like gospel

"when you win" is the key here. Going by your post, making up one's own rules is contingent upon them winning first. However, should one be making their own rules just for the heck of winning...or resorting to hook or crook just for the sake of winning...this, my friend, is the debate herešŸ˜‰

In my opinion, winning is not everything

There is a lot more meaning and something to learn from losing... losing and then thinking over what went wrong and then not repeating the same mistake the second time is more significant than winning the first time to me...

Ok if you get it the first time congrats... but if you don't and then you don't give up and break through and go for it again - more determined this time... is a gr8 achievement

... and being able to accpet defeat is an achievement by itself

I don't think winning is everything.
If you're in it you should certainly aim to
win but
it is also necessary to have fun and experience things.

I agree with rukhaya. Sometimes only failure can teach you things that even winning cannot.

I'm for end justifies the means. Noone will remember what Materazzi said to Zidane, everyone will remember Italy lifted the 2006 FIFA WC.
Except for a few Indians noone cares to remember what means the British employed to rule India and even if they do remember they still seek the cooperation of the British in so many areas.

Once you are successful, your means become the norm. Just make sure you don't get caught in the act.

Well Said Souro!! šŸ‘...

You compile all that you did to win(hook or crook as you saidšŸ˜†), and then declare them as good morals. Nobody dares to argue once you publish that good book as Ramayana or Mahabharata. Hopefully that explains how this related to this debatešŸ˜‰

That is the motto of our cricket team. Winning is every thing. If not, do not become a part of our club. Members who have any goal that is short of winning are not included in the team. Do we lose? We sure do. Does it change our motto? No it does not. Not even in practise games. Yes, there are social activities outside of cricket. Be it indians or pakistanis, club members are friendly. When it comes to the field it's all business.

šŸ˜• where did I talk about morals in my above post? I agree with the first part though. The one not in parenthesisšŸ˜‰šŸ˜†

Oh, I see plenty of questions regarding those "good" books as well. I would say people pick their favorite parts of those "books" and try to imbibe them in their lives based on their inherent nature. If taken in entirety, both books have certain root causes from where hook or crook stemmed.
Hopefully that explains how this related to this debatešŸ˜‰
If you say sošŸ˜†
