Nothing else matters these days, to win at any cost is the mantra these days.
People don't much care for ethics, truth or anything. They will lie, cheat do whatever to win. Right down to throwing shit on their opponent. Right down to faking injury. Right down to building false evidence against their opponent.

Do you agree or disagree?

Disagree.....but you sound well p****ed off....

There is enlightenment....admittedly not in enough individuals, but still in enough people to not make me lose my faith in an humanity and/or a human race where winning is everything.

The only race I'm interested in is the one in which I am the sole competitor against my spiritual self - I only hope I win and achieve my goal which is the ability to accept and be grateful for all that I have or have had. You can win and still be utterly miserable, lonely, rejected etc etc........what's so good about that??

Have to be real, be authentic and be confident. That face in the mirror dont go away......tell lies and what you'll see in that mirror.....is a troubled conscience

If youre true, no matter how hard that path, I totally believe you'll reap the reward, maybe not when you need it but maybe at some time when you least expect it.

Gosh.... I am definitley going on a rant here.......

Winning is not everything, it is the only thing. If you do not play to win then do not play at all.

However, the question is is a lying cheater really a winner...or the one who gave 110% for the love of the game.

IMO anyone who cannot give at least 100% is a worthless loser.

Gosh, so wonderfully said 👏 I was so deligthed to read about the fight for spiritual self. That is real winning, as you said.

No, I am not pissed off. I was just reacting to all the Aarushi, Nupur Talwar etc., murders and all in the news.

Thanks so much for replying.

But, I was also talking about real life situations and not just our own prespective. I was talking about the world as it is today.

Wonderful reply, it is true that one has to play to win, but the method they win is also very important. Giving 100% or more is the only way for that, not subverting truth and honor.

I guess you guys are essentially debating about whether End justifies the means or Means justify the end.

I'm for end justifies the means. Noone will remember what Materazzi said to Zidane, everyone will remember Italy lifted the 2006 FIFA WC.
Except for a few Indians noone cares to remember what means the British employed to rule India and even if they do remember they still seek the cooperation of the British in so many areas.

Once you are successful, your means become the norm. Just make sure you don't get caught in the act.

I think we live in a bad world!! I am quite sick of seeing bad peole win over and over again. But I still have some faith left in humanity. And lots of faith in god.

I don't know how one can live by cheating. My conscious stops me from doing even tiny bad things!!!
