After the failure of Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Hum Saath Saath Hain , it was Vivaah that proved to be the saving grace for Rajshri Productions. The young and charming Shahid Kapoor as Prem reminded us of Salman from Maine Pyaar Kiya while the coy and docile portrayal of Amrita Rao as Poonam made us remember Rajshri's discovery - the beautiful Bhagyashree.

Shahid and Amrita Rao made us fall in love with them in Vivaah and we thought Sooraj Barjatya has now got his winning jodi back. Even the filmmaker went on saying that he would like to work with the young and talented duo in his next.

However, Sooraj Barjatya ended up signing Isha Koppikar and Sonu Sood for his forthcoming Rajshri film, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi . The film revolves around an unmarried couple living together and sharing a bond which is no less than a marriage, according to Barjatya.

We however asked him what happened to his wish of casting Shahid-Amrita and he said, 'Shahid and Amrita are too young and their age didn't let me zero in on them for my next. They suited their roles in Vivah but not in Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi .'

But its not like the Rajshris to throw away their winning jodi. Soon a script will be created to suit this couple, that we can assure you.
This is great news really hope it comes true 😳😳love their jodi.

^^ I agree with you. The article is incorrect....Hum saath saath hain was not a failure! Both Hum saath saath hain and Vivah were not liked by the critics but both films did well at the box office. Anyway, both Shahid and Amrita look very good onscreen. Hope to see them in another project very soon.

Thanx😊

Vivah was actually the first Sooraj Barjatya film I liked.😊 Hum Saath Saath Hai made me fall sleep with some of its nonessential plot details. Hum Apke Hain Koun I saw so long ago that I don't really even have an opinion on it if that makes any sense. But I hope the sequel to Vivah has some of that same magic. It will be hard to recapture that same chemistry Shahid and Amrita shared.

Ohhh I can't wait for a Rajsri movie to come out, their movies are family oriented, full of love and sweetness. Their movies may have drama, but there's a lot of positivity it them too....

but this Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi is not the sequel to Vivah, is it? I dont think its linked to Vivah in any way. Please correct me if i am wrong😃.
