Wonderful post, HPCrazy...!!👏 Especially the parts highlighed in RED .....I agree with every word of it👏👏
And yes, Ginny cannot be blamed for not accompanying Harry because of the trace(as said by stumps101) and also for the numerous reasons stated by sandali and krupa....I dont like her that much because I think she isnt as well-fleshed out as hermione..her character doesnt seem to have much depth(maybe because JKR didnt write much abt her in books 1-5). And when she started going out with Harry..i just felt everything was going too fast and sudden..I mean the slow buildup of romance I saw in Ron-Hermione's relationship was missing here....but I guess its not that important since JKR is not writing a romance novel😆.
@redhotght..Thank you for your nice compliment about my post, dear😃 Yep,I guess we didn't get to see enough of Harry-Ginny relationship in the books even after Harry had fallen in love with Ginny.
On the other hand there were several little moments in the books which were clearly indicative of Ron & Hermione's feelings towards each other. For instance in the 2nd Book when Draco says that he hoped a mudblood would die this time too & "Pity it wasn't Granger" & Ron tries to hurl himself at Draco saying "I don't need a wand,I will kill him with my bare hands"😛 Again in the 4th book,Hermione looking furious when Fleur kisses Ron on the cheek for helping to save her sister & Ron getting very jealous & angry when Hermione goes to the ball with Krum😛 But my most favorite moment is in the 7th Book is when Bellatrix keeps Hermione behind when Greyback takes the prisoners to the basement & Ron yells "No! You can have me! Keep me!"(I just loved Ron at that moment😆) & also when Ron goes completely berserk & sobs when he hears Hermione being tortured & tries desperately to get out the basement to save her😭;I remember reading somewhere that true-love is feeling your loved ones pain as your own & Ron's reaction while Hermione being tortured is an ideal example of that😳
On the otherhand,I think Harry also loved Hermione just as much as Ron did,but in a different kind of way.For instance it says that the sounds of Hermione's screams while being tortured went through Harry like a physical pain, which shows that he was just as pained about it as Ron did.& Harry himself tells Ron "I love her like a sister"
On the other hand, like you've pointed out redhotght, I also felt that Harry-Ginny relationship was rather sudden & brief in the books. They only became a couple towards the end of 6th book & we got to see only brief scenes between them in the begining & towards the end of the 7th book too.Even if Ginny was mentioned in the middle of the story it was mostly about how Harry was thinking about her & longing to see her & hoping that she was alright. Those feelings do show how deeply Harry cared about her & loved her. However, what I found lacking in Harry-Ginny relationship is those many intense or emotional moments that Ron & Hermione shared (like the ones I've mentioned above) where they openly display how they feel about each other. For that reason, I also felt that the Harry-Ginny relationship wasn't as nicely or adequately portrayed in the books as the Ron-Hermione relationship or for that matter even Harry-Hermione relationship
