Shabbir Ahluwalia to quit TV for movies......

More popular than a debutante yet less than a star in Bollywood, Shabbir Ahluwalia is standing on the crossroads of his acting career. Even before his next film Mission Istanbul's release, the actor has found a 'Godmother' in the form of Ekta Kapoor who plans to re-launch Shabbir in a big way.

In fact, the soap opera queen is so impressed with his dare devil stunts and screen presence in Mission Istanbul that she is planning to cast him as the lead actor in Balaji's forthcoming film. Confirming the news, Ekta said, "I think Shabbir deserves it. Though he will continue to act in the Kayamath sitcom till it is on air, I am going to take him off TV completely after that. *PHEWWWWWWWWWWW*

"Currently, my team is working on the pre-production of the film that I have planned for him. Shabbir has proved that amongst the newer lot of actors, he is the best."

Meanwhile when we asked Shabbir about his career plans, the actor said, "I am going through several scripts now and am on the verge of signing a few. However, I am still weeks away from making a formal commitment. What I can assure you at this juncture is that you will see me in different kind of roles. I do not want to restrict myself to action."

Here's to another tv star attempting to make it big in bollywood like Shah Rukh Khan and Rajeev Khandelwal.

Whaat KYM will soon going off the air and we mis MICHI.

In Kayamath he is wonderful, but the show itself is crap. He deserves much better than this for his capabilities. I hope he gets to play challenging characters in movies and triumphs them all.

I was afraid he was quitting Kayamath to join movies, but seems like he is gonna stick till the end *which I hope is very soon..hahaha*

I think Kym will end in another 6 months. Its good in a way as we dont have to suffer any bad storyline and see Michi tortured.

But anyway he will be in Kym till end ...there is no Kym without Shabbir in it and Ekta knows it well.

I am really soooooo happy for Shabbir. I hope they end KYM on a good note unlike KTH. And yes Shaboo please take Panchi with you.

I think it will be nice to see a happy ending for Kayamath and we can keep nice Michi memories for the rest of our lives.
