Bollywood celebrates with T-Series-pics

Undoubtedly, the wedding reception of T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar, son of late Gulshan Kumar, and Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyon starlet Divya Khosla was the event of the season.

It was a fairytale setting at the Grand Hyatt on Sunday, February 20 – orchids, jasmine covered arches, floating candles, satin sequined curtains, muslin tents, tinkling fountains. The couple married a week ago, February 13, at the Ram Temple in Vaishnodevi, Jammu and Kashmir. After a reception in Delhi, attended by industrialists, politicians and the capital's Page 3 regulars, the festivities shifted to Mumbai. And the who's who of Bollywood turned up to congratulate the happy couple.

From the world of music, there was Adnan Sami in all black, Anu Mallik with his trademark topi, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu in pinstripes. Roop Kumar Rathod, ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas, Anuradha Paudwal, Kunal Ganjawala and Sonu Nigam were also present.

Among the earliest to arrive were actor Anil Kapoor in a black suit and red tie, MTV's Alex Kuruvilla and hungama.com's young chief Neeraj Roy. Model Assem Merchant and Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt made early entries too.

Playing hosts were the groom's sister Khushali and uncle Kishen Kumar. They welcomed the guests and escorted the likes of director Rakesh Roshan, actors Jeetendra, Raj Babbar and producer Bharah Shah to the dais to wish the couple.

Shah Rukh Khan, who showed up late evening in an all-black ensemble, was the main attraction for shutterbugs.

Jackie Shroff played it casual with jeans and a blazer as did models-turned-actors Dino Morea and Zulfi Sayed. Following suit, however, were Arjun Rampal and Zayed Khan in grey formal attire.

Sunny Deol, in black jeans and shirt, made a rather hurried exit, but not before obliging autograph-hunting fans. Brothers-in-arms Arbaaz and Sohail Khan came in together, though Salman made a late entrance.

Model and actress Katrina Kaif looked resplendent in a lemon-coloured two piece outfit.

Actresses Mahima Chaudhary and Neha Dhupia chose pastel-coloured saris. Dia Mirza stood out in a black and turquoise ensemble.

Mallika Sherawat made heads turn as she sashayed into the reception hall in a daring maroon outfit.

Celena Jaitley, in a sari, walked in with producer Feroz Khan, who stood out with his ubiquitous sunshades. Actor Arshad Warsi, in a tuxedo, hung out with them. Pritish Nandy held camp with Prem Chopra. Also spotted were Danny Denzongpa, Puru Rajkumar and director Prakash Jha.

Amitabh Bachchan walked in

Cheoreographer-turned-director Farah Khan, sporting a heavily embroidered salwar kameez, walked in with her husband Shirish Kunder and her brother comedian Sajid Khan.

Preity Zinta and Jaya Bachchan caught up on old times and cheered the couple as they cut the two-tiered wedding cake and uncorked the bubbly.
