Shah Rukh Khan may rule the filmdom, but surprisingly, it is Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan who is running ahead in the ad visibility race. The news comes as a surprise considering the wide popularity of King Khan in brand endorsements. In the AdEx Survey, prepared by TAM Media Research, TV ads featuring Saif Ali Khan appeared for around 45 lakh seconds last year, while SRK was lagging behind with 42 lakh seconds and Amitabh Bachchan was third with 32 lakh. Even cricketers faded in front of 'Saifu' (as Bebo called him in a recent TV show -Paanchvi Pass). Only M S Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar figured in the list of the 10 most visible celebrities in TV ads and there were no other celebrities from Sports arena.
Hrithik came at the fourth position in the ad visibility list, while Kajol became the highest rank women at the fifth position. Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Juhi Chawla rounded off the top 10. Juhi Chawla (13.2 lakh seconds) was far ahead in the list, having a clear edge over reigning box-office divas like Priyanka Chopra (11 lakh seconds), Bipasha Basu (6.4 lakh) and Kareena Kapoor (6 lakh).
However, Shah Rukh and Amitabh Bachchan continue to endorse the largest number of brands. In 2006, Bachchan was the brand ambassador of 41 brands, while SRK endorsed 35. But in 2007, King Khan marched ahead with 39 brands while Big B was brand ambassador for 36 brands.
Chhote Nawab must be all smiles on hearing the reports and our Bebo would all the more glow in the success of her 'Saifu'. Well done, Saifu!
